Any way to fix the brake dust?

Hi there
The brake dust on these cars is pretty nuts.
Has anyone come up with a solution to this?

Either pads or some sort of treatment I can put on the wheels?

Is there anybody who lives in Southern California somewhat near Fullerton that would possibly be willing to work with RacingBrake on developing replacement rotors/hats for the Emira? I worked with them years ago on making their patented slotted rotors for the Camaro. If Warren's still there, or at least his son, I can see about setting up a meeting to at least take a look at the situation.

I live in Orange, I am interested in low dust brake pads. Not looking to do rotors and hats

I already have a forum member who has volunteered to meet with RB. Once they know what the specs are, Warren will let us know what they'll be able to make available. We might even be able to get some group buy deals going.
 
I would like to welcome @Warren-RB from RacingBrake to the forum! I've been in contact with him, and he's expressed interest in the Emira. They make good brake pads for street and track, as well as rotors, both in iron and ccb.

We can also offer carbon ceramic conversion upgrade which you know from our Alfa Romeo offer here.

It looks like the Emira brakes are closely related to McLaren's 570S (iron version) which we already offered along with CCB brakes, so it's just a matter to have them sorted out and listed.

Hmm, I was under the impression the front Emira brake rotor was just 370mm, which is smaller than either the front or rear on the 570s.

370x34/350x32 with 4/4 pot calipers is for the iron version, whilst the ccb version is 394x36/380x34 with 6/4 pot calipers.

See this caliper rebuild matrix for a better understanding between ccb and iron setup:

Pending further verification, I suspect Emira has the same caliper & pad as 570S' Iron Version which can be quickly confirmed as soon as we can put out hands on the vehicle.
 
Don't know if anyone noticed the subtle difference in the brake pad applications.

The front iron pad is actually same (size) as the rear ccb pad.

This is due to ccb rotors are lighter in weight than iron so for the same brake work they will result higher braking temperature so the ccb rotors and pads should be larger in volume than iron rotors to deal with the same amount of heat.

For those who are considering ccb conversion upgrade, we would recommend upgrading a larger 6 pot caliper with larger pads in order to have a successful and satisfactory ccb setup.

Since most the components are already available so it shouldn't take long.

I’m also in Orange County and can bring my car by if you need it. Happy to help out, the factory pad brake dust is out of control.
 
I am also interested in a low brake dust option for street use.. I will not be taking my car to the track at all.

Got you. Our XT910 is a copper free new compound developed about 3 years ago - A successor of ET500 that you see in this review 10+ years ago.

XT910 is a compound for street/spirited driving with excellent modulation (very liner instead of on-off), good & consistent friction at elevated temperature yet very low dust and "no squeaking".

We make pads for 2 pc rotors and brake kits only to assure a reliable supply and overall braking performance. Since we only offer limited applications so only those who have used them can well appreciate how good they are but I will leave it to your judgement.

Our ET/XT pads were notably popular in the following communities:
  • GTR
  • Mitsubishi EVO 8/9/10 w/Brembo calipers
  • Subie WRX/STi
  • Mercedes
  • Acura TL w/Brembo calipers
  • Camaro SS
  • Tesla M3
