Dare I say I miss Jeremy Clarkson?I’m just glad it’s Chris doing the interview and not those other two Top Gear knobs. They‘ve made the show very hard to watch.

Indeed, and that is the type of feedback one needs in order to make an informed decision about a car that one has never driven themselves. It has been a while since I watched that video.Let’s remind ourselves how much Chris loved the V6 Exige. Silly comments re Evora 400
He should love it really as its not far off an £80k version of his beloved GT3 TouringIndeed, and that is the type of feedback one needs in order to make an informed decision about a car that one has never driven themselves. It has been a while since I watched that video.
When I first realised that I really wanted to acquire a Lotus, in 2015, I actually explored the Series 3 Exige V6, and almost went ahead with an LF1, but settled on the final version(s) of the Series 2 (the choice was between the RGB and Cup 260, both of which had some choice upgrades). To me, the Series 2 cars embodied what Lotus was all about.
The following episode from TopGear featured a first-generation, 190hp Exige S2 road car, which is still a good watch:
Lotus Exige vs. Apache Helicopter | Top Gear
Granted the Emira is a whole new concept for Lotus, but it shows that they have moved on, and with the right backing, are now able to take on the 'big boys' of the sports car world.
As such, I hope CH gets to test drive a production Emira and share his feedback at the earliest available opportunity, and not get into any politics ot anything else that may detract from the actual subject of how well the Emira drives and how useable it is both as a fun/weekend used for touring/track days or as a daily driver.
It would also be great if we see the Emira in a long-termer feature where journalists use a car for an extended period of time (6-12 months) in all seasons. CH himself has done a few over the years when he was with Autocar.
