I dont know why, but this guy is super easy to watch, great video.

I have been subscribed for a long time. His Evora test drive brought me to his channel many moons ago (y)

Good to see on both this video and the Shmee one that shutting the boot is much easier than what Harry made it out to be!

Great video review by STG. He makes the point I’d already raised, that by giving the Emira broader appeal they’ve dialled back some of the driving characteristics.

It’s interesting many reviewers say it’s great Lotus have finally included CarPlay, when this was available in late model Evoras as well as cruise control and satnav. Storage space with the +2 or +0 was also more flexible.

I notice he mentioned the boot space and heat, but not the water running off the boot hatch into the engine bay at 7:30!

Love STG. He always gives things a proper chance over a significant amount of miles. Great video.

See honourable mention below rs piece

Runner up to the GT4RS as Piston Head's favorite car of 2022!? I'll take it!!

Let's not get carried away - runner up for one of the PH reviewers - it seems that each of them has been given their own opportunity to name their favourite car of the year.

Still, nice to see the Emira recognised positively by a UK car reviewer (beyond Harry and Chris Harris).

German car magazine Autobild slays the Emira for the suspension setup being too soft / other times too hard and very hard to control with ESP off on the slalom parcour. Also 0-62 time of 4.6 in best case, they say due to the gearbox being difficult under high load.

Laptime on par with Exige but several seconds behind competition.

Not sure what to make out of it, in my opinion the Emira FE is not meant to be a track weapon and as that I am not too surprised.

great infographics though :D

And that the Emira is a smidgin behind a 410 Exige is pretty impressive given the weight penalty

Remember the Emira FE will be the sensible version the later version's will be the track weapon's, they have had to leave room in the tank for some decent upgrades. I'm guessing these versions will be 911 money thou.

Not sure if I’d call that on par with the Exige. It’s also slower than the first iteration of the mk v Supra which also got an extra 40hp shortly after that.

From US pricing point of view that part sucks, because it’s half the price.

Know what you mean but being in the same league as the Exige is surprising, given the weight difference and targeted usecase of the Exige vs Emira. One could say that the Exige was also surprisingly slow if a Carrera S "base" car is approx 2 seconds faster.

The Exige had been tested on rather old semi-slicks which had the best of life already behind iirc. Otherwise it had been faster for sure.
