Turbo will be in the US soon. Looking for some feedback on exhaust options. There have been a lot of exhaust conversation wanted to pull them into one thread.

'3rd Cat delete + Valve controller' vs 'Complete 3rd Cat back replacement'

Hard to tell from all the sound clips if the Full exhaust replacement is actually tuned to sounds better than stock with 3rd Cat delete. I realize this is very subjective, but wanted to hear from people who've actually heard the difference and isn't selling anything.

There are many interesting full exhaust options on the market Valvetronic, Aerie Performance, etc . But do any of them sound better; don't care about weight reduction or 1 HP gain...

The Titanium looks very cool....but who knows if they spent any time tuning for perfect sound......

That Valvetronic is a cool exhaust, but it's for the V6 not the Turbo that you have set this thread up for.

The best Emira Turbo exhaust I have heard so far is from a straight through exhaust, but it's going to be pretty loud. I'm very interested to hear more sound clips from various aftermarket Turbo exhausts. I'm also thinking the standard exhaust with valve controller and catless downpipe, would be a better value option with similar sound.

Spot on! For Emira turbo if you don't care about engine light and want the most insane sound, it will be a straight-through race pipes thats the no cat no muffler piss off your neighbors setup. Next up is a catless downpipe which will definitely give you engine light but sound just as bad ass. Then if you want peace of mind, a downpipe with sport cat (no gpf) will give you more than enough sound and no engine light. Combined any of the above with Miltek controller installed on the factory exhaust will give you good sound from low roar to high pitch, and if you are still not satisfied then replace the oem exhaust. We have experience many different setup in China, and I can tell you straight up the problem is in the downpipe where the gpf is, once you get it out it sounds so much better. A word of warning for all Emira Turbo owners who plan to install a full exhaust system, DO NOT use Ti exhaust if you also going to upgrade your downpipe. It will most likely melt off your value controller.

Hey. Do you have any videos/sound clips of your exhaust set up?
Also, is it only the downpipe that can cause the engine check light to come on? ie, if you had a downpipe with a sports cat plus a straight through exhaust would you still get an engine check light? Cheers

There are two area that will trigger the engine warning light on the Emira Turbo, first is the GPF unit on the downpipe. Some brands removed the GPF and you get warning light as those are mainly for track use. Many brands just keep the GPF like HJS in order to avoid warning light but from my personal experience, it does not sound any better than OEM and to me it is a waste of money. My downpipe was manufactured with special minerals to substitute the function of the GPF and in normal driving condition, it should last a few years or until the minerals is burnt off. Sound is really nice, and that is the temporary workaround until ECU can be remapped. Second, you will get warning light if you change to a catback exhaust that was not designed to work with the oem value controller. Emira Turbo has a special programming on exhaust value and when it detects any misalignment signal from the value position, it will give you engine warning light. Miltek's controller solves the problem by piggybacking the signal into a loop. For anyone who is doing both downpipe and catback exhaust, there is a very good chance a Ti exhaust with value facing upward, will melt off the oem value controller. This is a collective experience and knowledge from the Chinese owners who have tested various setup.

I have not get a chance to record mine yet, but here is a video clip from a friend of mine who has the same downpipe, but also an upgraded SS catback exhaust without Miltek controller sounded like.

BTW, the video does not do any justice of what it sounds like in real life, its pretty crazy!
