Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

its now... NO RESERVE.... so either it passed the reserve, ie retail price before extras of 76, or, they convinced the seller to remove the reserve, to encourage more bidding.....
Still 4 days left....
Seems a bit strange! It must be that the seller has been convinced to remove the reserve, otherwise it would've changed when the bid was placed a while back.

Also, the highest bid was an 'absentee bid' which would indicate that they are not at their limit yet but simply auto-bid up above the next highest bid...

Actually, the more I've thought about it, the guy selling the car (emiraspain 😂) must be active on here and watching our comments, with such an early deposit. He/she may well be making judgments based on the sentiment we input.

Or maybe I should stop thinking about it and go to bed! 😂. I just want it to sell for as much as poss so I can actually sleep at night when I pay for mine next year!

If the seller isn't on here (and I think they are as a lurker), there are people on here and other Lotus forums who know them.

exactly what I have been saying all along... but then the recently departed leonard and others dared to disagree with me.... what a nerve people have, really..... haha
He's actually gone???
The forum has got less grumpy 😪maybe I should take his place....

Harry Metcalfe has got his "living with Emira" reviews coming out soon. I think reviews can sway the prices hugely. He has covered over 2500 miles in his and if he thinks its brilliant then prices could rise.
The pre production reviews (which should never have happened) were not great for the car and caused deposit drop outs.

I wonder the press do full reviews on the prod cars?

Probably too late. Customers have cars now. A ridiculous decision to give preproduction cars to all media for reviews. Lost fortunes overnight and made everybody still think Lotus finish was low quality. Can you imagine Ferrari and Porsche handing out cars before they were finished for mass reviews! No chance. Huge own goal and put so many people off.

The Emira on Collecting cars really is the talk of the town at the moment, everyone is watching closely for its first true valuation. I wouldn't read to much into it at this time as the Emira will be more popular as it seen on the road more and more. What will drive the value down will be when they are seen everywhere and lets face it that won't be for at least 2 years.

The quality issues and faults on some early demo and customer cars haven’t helped either.

This one advertised for sale on ebay in the UK, a Hethel Yellow car for December delivery at £115,950 which seems very optimistic:

This one has now disappeared from sale…. Not on Slade’s site as sold though…

As an eBay Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
It was said that the one on motorway (sale to trade) sold for 85k plus fees, but it was suggested there was some debate as to wether the seller was actually prepared to part with it…

Not really worth the flip if that's all they got.

Well that’s an 80% return on your 5k for an 18 month investment so the return is huge…

But the downside risk is significant too

We're all doomed i tell you doomed.
Seriously though i know some people say people will pay whatever to have shiny shiny new but that's certainly not the view of motor traders.
Used cars are sticking and the market is saturated; most purchasers are finance based on cars and paying upwards of an 8% loan for a car is unheard of for the PCP generation. Come January I wonder how many Emira's will be for sale.

I think it’s been re-listed on Autotrader and Pistonheads at £99k. I haven’t checked the details to see if it’s the same dealer and car.

Due to fact I’ve ordered a new BMW Mi240 X drive ( got carried away on all the options lol ) and don’t think I can go another 4/5 months without my own car 🚗 ( I could get a grey one straight away but I want purple 🤨 )
my poor hubby never has his Disco as I have it every w/e and feel guilt he using his work van for golf ⛳️ and I’m in the camp of using my Emira till my new car comes. I would be really hoping though 🤞 that I don’t loose big time on the Emira for 4/5 months. I don’t do many miles and I’ll surely enjoy her but would this plan cost me big bucks to enjoy a few w/e miles 🤔

That's a good way to see it actually, valid point.
I was thinking purchase cost of 80k vs sale of 85k.

Touché

That's not an investment. Let's be clear. That's gambling and has zero skill,
