Eventuri development

Driven the car a bit now. My impressions are that there is a small but noticeable increase in performance. The car pulls more, especially in lower gears. Induction noise is much louder with the window open (as in it sounds like a turbine next to your ear) but almost same as stock with the window closed.
Overall happy with the results!

edit: Keep in mind my car has the AERIE titanium exhaust with cat delete.
Unless proven on a Dyno I doubt any increases. Sound wise sure.

True, but EVenturi have provided dyno numbers showing small gains. I also eagerly await third party results, but I doubt a company with the history and reputation of Eventuri would fake the results knowing they will be, sooner or later, exposed.

This is a very nice item. Beautiful and well made. Everything about it says "quality".

The main unit with the filter inside weighs 3 lbs.

All the other items including the silicone connector tube (a very solid piece) and the brackets, bolts and nuts, etc. weigh 1 lb 8 oz., so altogether this whole setup weighs 4 lbs, 8 oz; 4 1/2 lbs. I'll weigh the factory setup once I get it off the car.

I’m just bummed the EPDM hose is not an improvement aesthetically. With the engine surround covers on you can’t even see the pretty air box.

I asked them about why they didn’t go carbon with silicon couplers at either end and they said it was to allow the engine to move. It makes sense, but they’ve found solutions for other cars. At the very least I would have liked a smooth EPDM hose.

For the price you paid it better be quality and then some.

Yeah I know. I'm thinking I might get some gold heat reflect foil, and put that around the connector hose which would look pretty exotic. At least it would be visible from the outside of the car.

That stuff is Pikes Peak International Hill Climb tested and approved! I had it all over my race car since heat soak up there in that thin air is a major issue.

Yeah... we're going to need more info on this Pikes Peak race car...
I started a thread so that this one can stay on topic.

Yeah
One of my favorite parts of the car is looking at that tube in the back of the car.
It just looks kinda wild and doc brown-like.

I feel the eventuri tube looks less cool. You know?

Our intake is coming along and being road tested currently. Initial impressions are all good so far, nice induction sound and better throttle response.
Hoping to do our intake shootout in the next couple of weeks with the stock filter/airbox, drop in K&N, Dryflow drop in, our intake kit and the Eventuri.
We did put 1400+ miles on the Eventuri intake kit last week and had no issues with it. Car ran well in varying conditions and the intake/exhaust sound through the redwoods was pretty killer!

@GRP any CEL codes?
We had a code pop up while on our roadtrip last week with the Eventuri installed but I think it was 100% coincidence.
Cleared it, drove the rest of the trip and it never came back after many many key cycles and start/stops.

Can you do Aerie intake as well for the shootout?

So what’s the word on the eventuri intake? How’s it working? Any dyno results? Itching to get one!
