Has anyone heard the Base audio system?

I thought all First Editions came with the KEF system and that only FEs had been delivered so far. If thats accurate, then the car you are looking at must have the KEF system, even if its not actually stated
The car I'm looking at isn't an FE, it's a 2025 "Base" V6 that's inbound to a dealer and hasn't arrived yet — but is already on US soil.

Wow, hadnt realised Base models had been shipped yet. My apologies

There were a couple of base cars that were delivered alongside mine but I couldnt find any with base audio. Seems everyone is checking the KEF box. I also couldnt find the tech headliner or the non-sport pedals.

I actually opted for the base audio and cast wheels as my goal was to replace both anyways. I took the car for a spin before leaving it for PPF and I didn't bother to listen to the audio as I was focused on the engine.

When you get it back let me know how it sounds 🙂

I wouldn't call the base audio very good. One big issue is there is no fader, only L/R balance. The rear speakers are not very present.

I've not heard the KEF, but now I'm thinking maybe the upgrade would have been worth it.

Might look into some upgrades at some point, but for now I'm mostly driving with the audio system off just to experience the car.

KEF has no fader. Sound stage is VERY front focused. It is clear and crisp, but severely lacking bass.

And it’s (the KEF) is dead quiet even on maximum volume, that’s my main gripe.

For what it's worth. The KEF sounds better than my 2024 718S base system but not as good as the B&O in my 2021 RS5 (which was a ~$900-$1000) option back then

Is that for all inputs (bluetooth, radio, etc)?

Listening to the base audio a little more over the last day. It does improve with volume. I just wish it wasn't so front focused.

you need to have your hearing checked. I usually don't go past 50% often and even then never above 60%
I’m at 60-75 to get decent sound. I would go higher but don’t like it when the bass is beyond its limit.

Not sure what people are using as their source, I assume a phone.
If the volume seem low, are you cranking the output from the phone up?
May seem obvious, but if the output from the phone is low, no matter what you do on the Console will make it loud. Might also be worth checking if you have the "Hearing Protection" enabled. On Android its auto enabled and you have to disable it and again this lowers the max output from the phone
