So ok after a lot of thinking....Clearly there is know car that could replace the EMIRA...... it is just so drop dead good looking..... and am sure the reviews will say its top in it class.....

So I am not going to try to replace if the EMIRA dont happen.

Going to spend 10k on BMW 5..... not going to give me the buzz I want..... but does lots of thing well

Then spend 6k building my new jet engine.... buy a newGo-Kart chassis and try and push the world record past 150mph

That will give me a buzz :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::oops:

No don’t have date yet. I’ve gone for manual Nimbus with tan leather, sports chassis, lower black pack. Wheels probably black gloss but it’s choice between these and silver.
Lovely spec, will look awesome!

The Emira just has that once-in-a-lifetime, perfect storm, lightning in a bottle look to it that's going to make everything else suddenly become invisible when you see one. Combine that with legendary Lotus handling, and it's almost too good to be true. What a wonderful way to end the ICE era.

Having driven an Alpine on track, its where I'd head to if the Emira is too far off/too expensive etc. The only issue is its around £15k cheaper than the Lotus and Mrs T keeps pointing out that that would finance a very nice JCW for her...

I’ve given this a lot of thought. If not for the Emira I don’t know if I’d even have the Evora right now… Which just makes me sad because I love it!

So I’d wish I would have found the Evora and got a new one. 2021/2022 custom built and all.

But… likely would have went to Porsche. I’d probably be even more frustrated trying to get one of those built… Glad we have the Emira!

I am going to be hammered for this :) why not a corvette C8 Stingray. Cheaper and faster than Emira. Both are mid engine sports cars. Plenty of C8 for sale now a days.

i'm with arsalan get a stingray and drop a supercharger on it tho i'll wait and get it at 72k

C8: Nowhere near as good looking as the Emira, no manual trans, nowhere near the exclusivity, bigger, heavier, not my cup of tea. I'm not looking for maximum power, or fastest to maximum speed. I'm looking for a complete experience that only the Emira is offering right now. At that price point, a few thousand either way isn't as important as getting the experience I'm looking for.

That makes sense if it fits what you're looking for. More power and decent value for money. Not really an option for us in the UK, with similar issues to what people in the US face with the Lotus dealer network. I'm not a fan of the looks but I know plenty are.

Probably back to another lotus and pick up a M100. Had one before and loved it, will try and track that one down and see if i can buy it back.

Otherwise i`ll turn my Cupra into a proper track car or pick up a Cayman GTS.

Fairly undecided.....

In my opinion, the Cayman GTS is better in every aspect except looks (which are subjective), although the Cayman also looks really good. If you are talking about base Emira, then the Cayman GTS is no longer in the price ballpark. The NA 4L engine is phenomenal, and the PDK crushes the Toyota tranny in the Emira. You can also go manual of course. It's lighter, proven Porsche build quality and track performance, plenty of aftermarket support, etc etc.

I agree with you on performance of cayman but the looks are just too boring for me. I wish Porsche put bit more effort on exterior styling

I still can't force myself to like the looks of the C8. And no manual option either.
That's why I went with a C7. And I've always thought the C7 kinda looks like an 812 😁

I have had an A110 for 3 years now and can highly recommend it, as long as you can live with no manual option. Snappy DCT, super light and precise handling. Just got back from driving a long weekend in Somerset during the storms and even then, was a plasure to drive winding A and B roads.

Full disclosure I put deposit on a C8 Z06 about two years ago but my dealer call me in August that I was not going to get a Z06 and wanted to return my deposit. I told him I don’t want my deposit back after 1.5 years of waiting. I want to stay in the line and not loose my spot no matter how long. I then went ahead and put a deposit on emira in August.

Emira looks so much better than Corvette but hard to argue with a Z06 performance.

Hopefully I will get both :)

Fair enough. Subjective like I said. The GT4 may be more your speed then.

But of a stretch to say the gts 4.0ltr is better in every way other than looks at this stage. How many production ready emira cars have you driven?

Not a stretch at all considering that Toyota V6 has been around for ages. It's also a 3.5L turbocharged vs a 4.0L naturally aspirated... I am not bashing the Emira. I like it a lot as well, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. I still plan on getting one of the base editions (I tried to get a FE but couldn't secure an allocation).
