Why that happned? No idea?
Most likely a software bug. It happened shortly after reaching the 1,000km milestone.

Just got a Low Tire Pressure warning on a system without TPM !
Locked the doors, put the keys in a shielded box, and the Tire Pressure warning disappeared the next morning.

Nope. Started the car and the warning is back. Seems like a persistent warning and needs to be cleared. I have an ODBC dongle, but decided to leave it as is so the dealer can see it when I bring the car in next month.

Does anyone know if it's legal to install aftermarket seats in Japan? Legal as in passing shaken and not voiding manufacture's warranty. I just had a kinda-spirited run around the mountains and I gotta say the seats are absolute crap in holding you in place.

I tried using an aftermarket Android Auto USB to Bluetooth adaptor, and IT WORKS. The unit I bought is the "A2AIR Pro" from "ottocast". Although there are similar products for half the price, I chose this one because it has FCC and Japan "Giteki" certification. They make an iOS version called "U2Air Pro" for those of you with iPhones. Both are available on Amazon, Rakuten and other major online stores.

The kit contains the module, USB cables (for Type-A and Type-C), double sided tape, and a user manual. I selected the Type-A cable, thinking that the ports and connectors are mechanically stronger than Type-C. The double sided tape is extra strong; use with caution. I stuck the module on the underside of the center console lid. No issues with reception from the cup holders and phone tray.

I have absolutely no idea why, but connection was intermittent during the first hour or so of usage but then started to work flawlessly after that. Maybe the module was "learning" something? Not that it matters to me anymore.

Best mod so far... no more dash reflections in your face...
Waiting patiently for some vendor to produce this with openings for air, speakers, and the flashing red LED...

I would suggest asking your dealer about the warranty. Shaken for a two seater should not be too hard.

Twill weave carbon fiber and forged carbon fiber with gloss or matte finishing:
- Retail price: $1090
- 2nd group buy price: $880

Herringbone patterns carbon fiber (V weave) with gloss or matte finishing:
- Retail price: $1190
- 2nd group buy price: $980

Cute, but totally useless against the cold. I do not recommend this mod.
I got myself this one 😂
Agreed doesn’t help with the cold at all, it does help a lot with the heat tho!

Anybody else have these brown spots on the exhaust tips? I tried car shampoos and mild detergents, but it won't come off.

Have you tried metal polish?

If it is painted, then I would start with a cleaner wax. If that doesn’t work, then try polish.

Thanks! I'll try that when the car comes back from the first (1,000 mile) maintenance.

Ouch. PPF repair was costly, but looks like new now.

First service complete:
  • ECU update (hope it doesn't break anything)
  • oil and filter changed (7 liters of 5W-40)
  • visually inspected, then tested the hypersensitive front left parking sensor and wiggled the connectors and harness (from the short drive home, seems to have fixed the hypersensitivity - yay!)
  • a bit of beveling on the brake pads
  • adjusted front fender and bumper alignment as much as possible
  • TPMS error reset (still no date on TPMS functionality availability)
  • exhaust tip discoloration reported to Lotus (let's see what the response is)

A Shadow Grey auto and Seneca Blue manual were in the showroom today. Red interior looks classy!
  • seems like maybe two thirds of the Japan V6 cars have been delivered to customers
  • progress is slow with the PDI center being the bottleneck, which means there are still many cars sitting at Daikoku
  • no news of i4 cars yet.

I noticed the same thing on the dealer demo car I test drove a year ago, I suspect this will become common over time and usage. Looks very much like corrosion spots to me ☹️
