New Emira Configurator!

Only the i4 and V6 Auto currently get the options of coloured stitching and TDC marker on the (common to those 2 variants) "flappy paddle" wheel. The manual wheel is black Alcantara or leather only. They come from different suppliers....
While this is true - it doesn't make any sense.

I'd like them to explain it to me.

It's like the supplier is in charge.

As a Lotus supplier surely you can't say 'sorry mate - we've only got black cotton' - seems a bit ridiculous! 😂

Lotus needs to offer the Black Leather Interior with different Color Stitching!
The only folks who want Alcantara are those who have never had it before, and thus don't realize the PITA it is to keep clean and how it wears poorly.

Hopefully, they will offer this on the Base models as an upcost option.
Come on Lotus! You are leaving $$ on the Table! Borrow a page from the Porsche Book on how to increase your profits!
Can't say I agree with you here about Alcantara. I had it on my previous Alfa Giulia QV and now on my Supra, and love it. I don't find it hard to clean at all, especially on the seats. On a steering wheel, sure it takes a little extra effort, but still not bad. Ammo NYC has a good tutorial on how to clean it

I just specified a black leather steering wheel with yellow TDC mark and yellow stitching on my HY I4. I had to double check with my dealer to make sure it was available on the leather (not Alcantara) steering wheel. He confirmed it was so I checked the box.

Yes, the i4 has that option, the V6 does not.

Porsche makes lots of profit by offering Deviated Stitching.... Lotus is missing so much....☹️

absolutely. i would 100% pay an unreasonable amount extra for a little stripe

I also like Porsche's reasonable ($500) option of having interior trim components painted to match the exterior. I think it helps the flow from outside to inside the cabin.

no news. someone said their dealer said 45 more days when they called about a week ago.

who knows how accurate that is tho, probably a total guess from the dealer

Bet it won’t up until all FE are sold. Artificial scarcity, just like Porsche.
Completely agree that once the FE’s are accounted for with allocations, then we will see the Base configurator go up. Also, I believe when someone builds a car with the FE options on the new Base configurator it will definitely be more expensive. Just my opinion.

💯 agree with your cost prediction, a fully loaded base SHOULD be more than an FE. Looking at their recent past of jacking up FE pricing before they even delivered a single car to North America, it's clear they won't hesitate raising prices on options to increase those margins again.

That being said, I'm just as curious to know how low Lotus will go with the base........what is the cost going to actually be for the absolute most stripped down base Emira? My guess is that it'll be substantially higher than the $74,900 announced way back in 2021! Would they go all the way up to $85K for base entry point?

$89,900.00.
Let the guesses begin.

Here is my Guess...

'25 - Base i4 - 89K
'25 - Base V6 - 94K (higher "base" options than base i4)

Guessing $10k higher than planned like the FE2.0 jump + incremental bump so I’m also thinking $89k starting.

Pricing is going to be weird when it’s obvious that the i4 is faster than the v6. I think they should only produce v6 manual and i4 DCT to keep more distinction. Small premium to the v6.

Base pricing will be interesting for those that want to build a stripper spec and go for low weight vs. amenities.

I think your guess is right on. Does anyone know what the two variants of engines actually cost? Say a replacement engine for either the AMG I4 vs V6. Hard for me to believe the hand built AMG is cheaper to source. Or is the time involved to modify the Toyota engine? Does anyone know?

Toyota engine is surely less expensive to replace - I think the delta will be the higher level of base spec on the V6.

Example -
Base V6 will get leather as standard and 12 way memory seats.
Base i4 may get fabric seats and 8 way without memory.

Something to this effect. The new US website specs already show what will be cost options from the base V6 Emira. The bigger question is how much the options will be to get to an F/E spec.
