I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust the Fore/Aft shifter "play". I have done the mod to remove the cage around the shifter and currently have things apart as I install the automatic version of the lower tray in the console. my shifter has about a half inch or so of fore/aft play. Maybe that is normal. I don't see anything obvious that can be adjusted and thought I would ask here. I did see another thread inquiring about this a while back, but I did not see any response that indicated there was an adjustment capability or not.
