USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Right, that's my take as well. Once the base configurator comes online, people who have put in for an FE may start having second thoughts, because they may prefer fewer options and a lower price. It's possible that the 700 FE cars are all that North America will get for 2023.

Thats a HUGE deal and you are absolutely right. Imagine when those other colors hit the configurator, it would be WAY more than enough to throw away the FE for the base with more selection. Also if they include their line of performance customizations.

If I wasnt locked down I would change my spec soley on the color along. I wasnt in love with any of the FE's. I wanted a more candy color.

Not sure any of the new colors could be considered "candy."

Lotus-"Chaps, listen, Ms Blarney was the lady whom sent out the initial correspondences stating a January 2023 build date, what she was SUPPOSED to type was January 2024 build date. We are not sorry for the confusion as it was all her fault. Now please be patient while we fuck off with our EV's."

All in good fun :)

Waiting patiently for my email next week where I can check out! Ill buy everyone a Pint if I get it this month.

Spoke to my dealer today and still no official updates at all from Hethel reguarding the US/Canada delivery time frame. However he did speak to their Lotus of US rep this past Thursday who claimed things are still on schedule for Jan production and March-April first deliveries. Anyone hearing anything different?

I've heard nothing different. And honestly it's like no news is good news at this point. Hopefully we'll get some very positive information soon.

I think if they asked me whether I'd prefer the car sooner without all the bugs worked out or later without any, I'd prefer the latter. Patience is often a virtue.
Definitely. Early adopter is not my thing

If someone were to order an Emira V6 today, what would be the expected delivery date? 18 months, 2 years, 1 year?

I mostly agree, but up to a certain point. Both of my previous cars were early first year productions. While they certainly had their share of problems, they eventually got sorted and I have no regrets about taking those early models.

Really depends on your dealer and location - but 2 years is the likely answer. By mid summer, after dealer demos are available for test drives, I would assume think it will continue to grow.

I'll guess 18 months or less. There are always growing pains at launch. I can see them increasing production and adding a 2nd shift soon and maybe 3rd eventually. No reason why they can't get 15k a year out.

The bottle neck is chassis manufacturing that happens in a different factory. Max year production for that is 7,500 per year. I also think they are having a difficult time with hiring staff/production workers. 15K a year may happen, but not before 2025. IMO.

Any updoots? Never heard any updates and the month is half over. Last I heard was they were sending someone to Uk to figure this out?

If they can pay me 185k Ill go over there right now and work 16 hour days pushing cars through.

$185K to sit on your hands waiting for parts to get shipped in 16h a day?
