USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Yeah but is her info based off the new info? She can still be replaying the same broken record they all were up to now. IMHO, until we have the official word/message all the speculation, communication is meaningless. Even Lotus reps had bad info.
I mean yeah but this is literally coming from a person of authority. Should the Lotus CEO come down and tell us? lol.

Honestly, relations is last to hear. I personally am waiting until we get an official word on what the plan is.

He was just here last week in Los Angeles, so why not?
Lol, to much faith in Lotus. It would have been nice though thats for sure. Coming up to the last full week in January and no official comms other than Tammy.

Thanks for sharing this, but isn’t 22-24 months winter of 2025? Was any information shared regarding start of Base Edition configuration and/or production for folks that have had deposits in for > 1 year?
I believe the season belongs to the year it starts in. So winter 2024 = Dec 2024, Jan 2025, Feb 2025.

I think we can infer they mean Q1. Yes it’s still winter but people associate winter with the end of the year

Maybe I misread that or did you edit the date? I may be going crazy.

Information from Tammy McKenzie, The Relationship Manager for US. Not quotes, just summing it up.

FE still on par for this Spring. (Spring consists of March-April-May)
If I were to put a deposit TODAY (or monday, whatever) for a base model, It would be ready in 22-24 months (Winter of 2024)

Its not much, but I like to give information when I get it form Lotus.
I may have missed it, but have dealers officially started taking orders / deposits for base model Emiras?

The way these dates keep getting pushed out, they'll be rolling out the Type 135 by the time an Emira you order today 'might' be delivered. Since I know manufacturers are typically a minimum of 2 years ahead of where the public is, they must be already working on the plans for getting the Type 135 ready for production. I would hope they've learned from the Emira to be far more ready at debut with the Type 135. But will they be ready in 2 years to produce two sports models side-by-side? So far, I wouldn't bet money on it.

This year is an important year for them getting their act together with the Emira, and begin at least some kind of steady production of quality cars, even if it isn't as many per day as they had originally planned. Even if they can start producing 10 cars a day reliably, that would be a good start. Efficiency would increase over time until they reach their goal.

I have one of the first base Emira deposits at my dealer and they told me I can expect to officially submit my order in April/May (2023) with getting the car 4-6 months later.
Not holding my breath on that unless they just take my order to get the rest of their $ then delay, delay.

I didn't edit the date. Since it is 2023 and mid-winter (in the northern hemisphere at least) I interpreted 22-24 months as mid-winter 2025. I think we're all going crazy trying to parse every scrap of information we get in an attempt to decipher the enigma code of North America Emira delivery.

…..rest of their money? Is each dealer operating independently on how they handle orders? Mine just said the $2500 refundable deposit becomes no refundable at order submission. I don’t mind paying a bit at each stage, keeps people serious about keeping the car.

Each dealer operates a little bit different, and each state has different deposit laws.

I actually dont remember now if my 2500 deposit just becomes non-refundable at official order date or another 2500 is required as well (5k non-refundable at that point). I believe it was the latter.

Personally I wish it was $10k deposit and $20k at confirmation. Takes the sting out a bit when the car shows up a yr later. Probably would have shortened the queue a bit as well

If I had to guess I'd say mid Feb to early March. Optimistically.
I would be shocked if this turns out to be true. With the delays going on with UK buyers I'd expect more like April/May for first builds. If that.

Sadly I don’t think that timeframe is realistic. Publication date for Base info has slipped month by month and is currently forecast to be early Q2, so you may be able to order in April/May. But first V6 Base build is not due until Dec or Jan, so first US deliveries are unlikely to be until Q1 2024 earliest.
