USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Sadly I don’t think that timeframe is realistic. Publication date for Base info has slipped month by month and is currently forecast to be early Q2, so you may be able to order in April/May. But first V6 Base build is not due until Dec or Jan, so first US deliveries are unlikely to be until Q1 2024 earliest.
Yeah i seriously doubted when he said that on delivery estimate. I dont really expect to see my car until 2024. I dont really want to order my car (if its gonna be 2024 anyway) until after late June since I'm going to the Hethel/factory and want to see all the base options in person....if they are even available by then.

Knowing that my dealer received 30 allocations for FE’s is there any indication of how many Base V6’s that would translate to? Production is one thing but the NA market was limited to 700 FE’s I believe; shouldn’t be an issue with Base V6. I mean they can confirm your car and just build it whenever like they always do.

Would have thought my dealer would have contacted me just to say there is no update. Guess since they have the non refundable deposit that train has set.

Why do I have that weird feeling we will hear nothing this week.
Because you are a smart person!!!! Lol. They will wait till the 31st and send some bs email. Instead of doing the right thing and letting us know whats going on. What a sorry excuse for a business.

I am going to buy a Porsche just to spite Lotus at this point.

It’s not a weird feeling 😂

Left another voicemail with my dealer today.. and no call back. No email response from Tammy (Lotus "Relationship Manager US") in the last 2 weeks either. Called the number in her email signature today and it doesn't even work. Yeah, I'm worried. 😕

I spoke with the sales manager at McLaren and asked to be notified if a 570S comes on the lot.

It's tricky to gauge future allocations because of all the delays and slower than expected ramp up. Plus it appears there has been some reallocation between countries outside of the usual annual allocation process. Based on the situation back in late Q3 last year I'd have guessed 2024 Base allocations would be about 2x to 3x original FE allocations. But there are a lot of variables now. By 2024 they may even move away from an annual allocation mechanism and do quarterly.

Now my comments are based on the fact that HQ has not communicated with US about current status prior to someone actually flying over to chat (probably worried about phones being tapped). Not sure how Lotus does travel as we always travel on Sat/Sun to be at destination for Mon. Let's say they (whomever from Lotus US) flew out on Monday as they are super nice and not making staff give up a weekend. Go into office on Tue, take it easy, niceties, some updates, projections, etc. By Wed-Thursday, they know the details and by Friday a communication email would be ready to send out to dealers. Monday schedule a meeting with dealers to debrief and then send an email they can use to provide FE customers. Now, I realise that logic appears to have left the station about 18 months ago so I guess we will hear something ............................................................... soon.

Talked to my dealer today. They have had no update from the Factory. They still hope it is end of Q1, beginning of Q2 to get their first car. I am 4th in line, but not holding my breath on when it will get here.

No one wants to be the bearer of bad news...

My dealer just called and said there's still no news. He's aware US reps were in UK last week and got back Monday. Said he thinks they're probably drafting an email to inform about further delays, but no one knows. Again, even he's frustrated with the lack of transparency from Lotus. 😔

Information from Tammy McKenzie, The Relationship Manager for US. Not quotes, just summing it up.

FE still on par for this Spring. (Spring consists of March-April-May)
If I were to put a deposit TODAY (or monday, whatever) for a base model, It would be ready in 22-24 months (Winter of 2024)

Its not much, but I like to give information when I get it form Lotus.
Does “still on par for Spring” mean Spring ‘23 deliveries of FE builds? Or does it mean that Spring ‘23 is when building of US FE cars begins? Any clarity is good!

Indiana Jones couldnt even figure this out.

Wow, just to think all this cryptic and lack of transparency approach is just about a car, after all. Imagine if it was brain surgery! 😲 Thank goodness Lotus are not doctors! 🫣

FWIW, a friend in Dubai said he just got a confirmed delivery date of March 21 for his Emira FE.
