USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Can you send any proof of this? Called lotus of Naples/naples motors sports. they still cannot confirm this information to be true. Everyone says a lot on the forums, but no one sends a single screen shot. I don't get it.
My dealer today confirmed my V6 FE has been built and now they are waiting on shipping info. They expect I will have it by end of December. Said it will be in the "first wave" of shipments to the States.

Why? US FE I4 first production is Jan 24 but allocation for that batch was already filled
Because you wrote that your build date and expected delivery date were more than a year apart. I know it's a typo, but this is literally a thread talking about dates and full of people seeking specificity.

I specifically want my car before summer 2025. Honestly, that’s a coin toss.

  • The Emira has received EPA approval, but Lotus still awaits CARB certification.

I am actively working to find out more, especially regarding particular units, their arrival dates, and further certification status updates. Please note that regardless of when cars arrive at port in the United States, they will not be released to any dealers until they receive 50-state certifications— Lotus Cars can receive hefty fines if a vehicle is sold to a customer in a market that has not approved the vehicle......................................"

More BS from Lotus... So if they have EPA approval they can sell cars in the 37 states that follow EPA Federal requirements. Why wait for CARB approval when they could be delivering cars (and collecting money) in the markets (37 EPA States) where they have approval??

Probably for the reason stated. Lotus can get fined if a dealer sells to someone in a CARB state. Could happen unknowingly. They won’t take that risk.

Let me clarify.... Lotus has EPA Approval, which means they have approval to sell cars in the 37 states that follow Federal EPA requirements. So they CAN sell in those states - NO Fines. Easy to control as Dealer confirms initial registration in Non-Carb stated. Plus its the Dealer, not Lotus at risk of the fine. Lotus is choosing not to release cars to any dealers until they can be sold in all 50 states.....

Does anyone know if Lotus are waiting on anything before being able to sell the Emira in Canada?
Wouldn't that be a feat for the Canadians.... unfortunately I do not believe we can sell any vehicle in Canada that is not approved for sale in the US.

** only caveat is our import ban on non-compliant cars is 15 years in the US it is 25 years.

I just gave you the exact quote snipped from the my dealer's reply, what are you looking for a signed affidavit? At this point I'm satisfied getting any positive reply. If it's correct fantastic if not then it's not going to make any difference, the car will be here when it's here. Personally I choose optimism.

Hell to freeze over?
Not sure about the CARB situation in Canada but I would imagine they wouldn’t allow a customer delivery in Canada while the US waits. Assume same time as US unless they can get stuck at the boarder?
