Is this dealer care gear during storage until customer handover, or stays with the car upon acquisition? You do get a Lotus branded trickle charger. I’ve seen it already in my car.

I’m tempted to agree. However, the paint on this car is super thin, not like the 8 coats of competition orange we used to get back in the dayI was planning on having my whole car wrapped. At this point I have lost so much interest that I am doing nothing but driving it. My daily is a 1998 Lexus ES 300 and it still looks brand new with 75k miles and living in a garage. I will just spend the wrap money on my detailer and deal with any issues that may arise. Honestly, it is not like this car is a "Mona Lisa".
I get that, but, I guess I feel like unless you live on a dirt road, will it matter OR how much will resale be affected by a chip or 2?I’m tempted to agree. However, the paint on this car is super thin, not like the 8 coats of competition orange we used to get back in the day
If you track your car, then consider getting PPF on the front.I get that, but, I guess I feel like unless you live on a dirt road, will it matter OR how much will resale be affected by a chip or 2?
BTW, if I take delivery on my car, I will probably keep it until I die.
And a baffled oil pan.If you track your car, then consider getting PPF on the front.
Thank you for this. At least I know that mine is here sitting in Baltimore somewhere. Since Park Place isn't getting any cars until CARB certification, that means once that's officially done and the cars can be released, there's going to be delays while cars are loaded on carriers from wherever they're being stored, then trucked across the country in the winter to Park Place in Bellevue, Washington. They're receiving 48 cars, so it's going to take some time for them to receive and PDI all those cars, then contact the customers so they can get the payment/financing done. After that, then it's having customer cars sent to whomever does their PPF and ceramic coating, which will probably be more than a few cars, so there's going to be a backlog while your car's being paint-corrected and coated unless you're in the first few being done.100 additional cars arrived in Baltimore on Thurs/Fri, on the vessel Atlantic Sail.
That brings the total of shipped North American spec Emiras to 473.

Have you already arranged shipping through Park Place or are you using a third party? I tried emailing them about that since I'm now stationed back in FL, and they responded with a generic copy/paste email about when they expect CARB to pass lol.Thank you for this. In my case, I'm having my car ceramic coated and then shipped by covered carrier to me. I live 500 miles from Park Place. If all this happens in February (I'm not holding my breath for January) then that means it's all going to be done in winter, and in the PNW we have snow and ice in February. A 500 mile drive through the PNW in winter is going to be slow going. I was in the second order group, so if they go by your place in line, I'm probably not going to see my car until sometime in March.
But now at least I know it's here lol. Receiving it in March actually isn't bad, because within a few weeks we'll be in early spring, so I'll have my car for a full spring/summer/fall next year. Can't wait!
Personally Im hoping they slow-roll the 2.0's until CARB is in hand. I have visions of some of these 1.0's withering on the vine - exposed to elements and birds outside or in showrooms to be molested by every Tom, Dick & Harry, jacket zipper, purse, kid etcDoes anyone know just how many FE 2.0 allocations have been handed out and ordered? I know the plan was 600 total for NA but I can't recall if all the allocations have been assigned yet.
Mine was at the dealership for its pre-delivery inspection and detailing, then in the showroom for 2 days before being put in covered transport and taken to an indoor storage facility.Personally Im hoping they slow-roll the 2.0's until CARB is in hand. No not yet. Figured I'd wait until I actually have a car to be transported. I'll see what arrangements Park Place has for that. If it seems excessive I'll look for my own deal.Have you already arranged shipping through Park Place or are you using a third party? Well mine is a 2.0 FE that's waiting at the Austin dealer. So they're here.I want 2.0's here ASAP. My dealer said if 2.0's are here with my 1.0, no ADM
Not alone. I called that out since they announced it. Everyone was cool with it because of this awesome secured storage.... that hasn't happened. Most are show pieces sitting out front or in the showroom for eveyrone to check out. So basically it isn't your car, it's theirs, you just maybe get to visit it and hopefully some day be the second, third, or whatever driverAm I alone on this thought?
“These poor cars sitting outside at these dealerships…”
Like, when does the car become “used” just based on sitting outdoors in the elements (and cats)?
Asking for a friend.
Also - what’s the new “for the drivers” slogan?
Yeah, all the Lotus Champions said all the cars would be in covered storage. Ive seen photos of a cat licking his nuts on the rear end of the Emira. If the cat is not declawed I am sure the vehicles it going to have some marks. Not alone. I called that out since they announced it.
