What are you spending on a 911 t at 15 to 20k to get the same spec?

UK price went up by 8% at 81,995 (gbp)I feel like the US got the biggest shaft. Other markets got less of an increase but in the US, with the strong dollar, we got the biggest increase?! Yes, it was a money grab.
If I were in Canada and the Emira was more than a GT4, Spyder or 911T, I wouldn’t think twice before switching.
I gotta see how US Porsche prices compare now.
Could it be that US orders exceeded original production estimates by more than UK, and so they are using pricing as a way to thin the herd?UK price went up by 8% at 81,995 (gbp)
US price went up by 11% at $105,400
I'm just not computing why we are paying 2-3k USD more than UK. It feels like Lotus is passing on the savings from 1.0 FE to 2.0 FE to make up for the loss of revenue. There is no way in hell input cost went up 8% in the UK while it goes up 11% for North America for the same product.
And then immediately announcing 600 more FEs in the US?Could it be that US orders exceeded original production estimates by more than UK, and so they are using pricing as a way to thin the herd?
Yeah. They could try to meet as much of the demand as they can, and still use pricing to try to thin down total orders since they won't be able to meet that demand in any timely manner. And then immediately announcing 600 more FEs in the US?
They are making up the difference in keeping the existing F/E customers price (or avoiding law suits) and passing on the increase to the 2.0 F/E. That would be my guess. It still may be less than a fully loaded base Emira, but hard to say. For the Canadian market, the 145K 2.0 F/E price (if it is that, or if they even offer it) will not be taken very well. Meaning a fully Loaded base model for more $$ would render the Emira very niche and price it out of the market for most people. Any higher and you're hitting brand new Aston Vantage Pricing.UK price went up by 8% at 81,995 (gbp)

Curious about this as well. Not sure if I'd want to but it would be nice to know what the procedure is.I wonder if current deposit holders who missed out on FE 1.0 will get a choice on a FE 2.0 or base edition.

I didn't have any specific options in my estimate because there is no real equivalent. But between wheels, leather, rear wheel steering and front axle lift (which I need) you are easily in the 125-130 USD.What are you spending on a 911 t at 15 to 20k to get the same spec?
I don't know what to make of the new 2.0 F/E vs base situation. Money grab from Lotus' perspective? Or showing some value vs the base.
In Canada -
Emira 2.0 F/E comes in at 145K+ Lux tax + 13% regular tax. = $175,000 CAD
Porsche GT4 122K +Lux+13% tax = $144,000 CAD
31K more for the Emira. Let's hope that Lotus prices the Emira 2.0 F/E in the Canadian market a little bit better. It will not sell very well at that price point at the moment
They can build more cars with the same build process currently ramped up at the factory before changing things around, now that they have a steady supply line and have gotten into a groove... they also get to make a bit more money per car for the 2.0 batch before having to re-tool / revise the assembly line for new models & options. That's the way I see it anyway...Sorry if this has been answered but I couldn't find it in the thread. Can someone please explain the reason why Lotus has given 600 more FEs to the NA? From an automobile manufacturer launching a new car, why do this? I am not saying I like or don't like it but want to hear opinions or facts about this increase.
It may also have been to avoid some type of regulatory problem related to model continuity for the US market. Difficult to know, looking in from the outside. But clearly they are having some weird regulatory hurdle to cross, that they didn't expect 6 months ago. They can build more cars with the same build process currently ramped up at the factory before changing things around, now that they have a steady supply line and have gotten into a groove... they also get to make a bit more money per car for the 2.0 batch before having to re-tool / revise the assembly line for new models & options. I am #4 in my State, so this mean October is the earliest for anyone in the U.S.Dealer just emailed me saying October at earliest for my FE due to USA auto certification of the Evora being delayed.
Where have you heard that 2.0 FE will be Cdn $145k? You’re mixing up cost and price. Lotus are revising pricing. That’s only partly related to whatever is happening on costs.UK price went up by 8% at 81,995 (gbp)
