I remember and these things used to piss me off. I don't know if you remember, but I complained about all sorts of things early on as well. Remember when I asked the US Lotus rep about the 'detuned engine' and he said it 'will NOT be detuned.' Well, that ain't happening as we now know. Finding out made me upset. I was told I'd have my car in August of 2022. Then someone said September. Then we hear they can't even keep up with deliveries in the UK and so I'm told October, etc. And Lotus basically said we'll get the 2024 model year car in the beginning of 2023. I thought I'd be driving the car several times already.
Post that, I sort of took a step back and asked myself: will worrying about all of this BS change anything about when I get the car? No. So why bother? I'll get the car when I get the car. The only thing in my control is whether I pull the deposit and that's not happening!
Life's too short to worry about crap I can't control. On the bright side: certain early problems have already been identified and are being addressed. Additionally, the cash for the car is sitting in my money market, earning ~5%. Lastly, gives me time to clean out my garage to fit an additional car
This may be apropos; it's British too:
