I was remarking it yesterday to my wife. After a weekend of heightened optimistic excitement, we are back to weeping and gnashing of teeth. It simply comes back to this: Is there verifiable evidence that Lotus is now actually doing what they have repeatedly claimed to be doing, but thus far have never delivered?

Immediately void warranty on a car that needs that warranty for sure, look at the other threads from Europe, keep that warranty valid lolDoes anyone know of any performance tunes/computers that are reliable? I live in South Florida any direction on a reputable shop for performance tunes when the Emira arrives would be appreciated.

Go take a look at the issues thread, and grab some popcornGood point!. So these cars are having that many issues their first 30,000 miles?
Never knew horses could speakI'll call my contact directly later today or tomorrow and see if I can get some verification from the horse's mouth.
Never knew horses could speak
EDIT I do know they shit a lot
This might be the single best post in 215 pages of posts. We’ll see you in the US/Canada Emira Issues thread.
Yep, USA will and has always been the most profitable sales region. But now volume and focus is china only and it's huge EV factory. It's pretty obvious at this point that Lotus doesn't give a shit.
I am not sure I can agree with you. China has 200 3.5 Mt FE Emiras allocated back in May. It is still not all sold out yet. They are delivering 2.0T Emiras now but cars are sitting on the floor. Lotus EV is a different story, Eletres that are currently selling in China is made in China. I don't think that will interfere business over at Hethel.Yep, USA will and has always been the most profitable sales region. But now volume and focus is china only and it's huge EV factory.
Nothing but pallets of car parts? The last 5 received ocean shipments by Lotus USA have been mixed pallet shipments of car parts. These still aren't in the volume that I would expect for full scale repair parts supply to dealer service departments, but it's a good sign that they are gearing up.

Keeping my fingers crossed that in the next few weeks we might see some indication of actual cars being manufactured, or verifiably staged for shipment. It boggles the mind that we are still sitting here in November of 2023 and have no VERIFIABLE evidence that Lotus is actually building cars for the North American market. Some random user on this forum saying they "know" what's happening and what's been built is not useful. That's not evidence.
Hearsay is worthless at this point, frankly... even from a "dealer". No offense to our wonderful dealers who participate here, but in the US model the dealers are independent businesses who are customers of Lotus just like we are, and Lotus has a historic pattern of outright lying to them about timelines. Until Lotus UK themselves allow someone... hell, ANYONE to see and verify that actual cars are being physically built, and carry some visual evidence of that fact to the waiting customer base, we're still sitting at Zero in terms of high quality information that is inherently worthy of trust.
Hopefully Lotus will finally give their largest target market SOMETHING more than this insufferable, grossly disrespectful silence. I've never experienced anything like this in any other customer-supplier relationship in my entire professional career. It's obscene.
Quite frankly if they want to ship us the parts I’m sure we have enough people here than can put them together faster.Nothing but pallets of car parts?
Is this the Lotus Emira Ikea Edition?
We are up ships creep (without a paddle shifter).
Can Lotus get around CARB cert requirements if they sell them as glider chassis kits? ; )Quite frankly if they want to ship us the parts I’m sure we have enough people here than can put them together faster.
