What did you do to your Emira today?

I cleaned up the ole bug trap!🦗

Wife and I put in the decat (thanks @GRP ) and went for a drive. very tasteful improvement to the sound. I was hoping it would add some substance to the voice while in Tour (when I don't want to draw attention with the overrun burbles) and it delivered! And in sport, man does it sing!

Nice! Did you have to remove the entire muffler for this or can you just swap out the cat directly?

No muffler removal. Followed the pdf instructions on GRPs website to the letter and they quite adequate. The cat pipe was easy to loosen, but wiggling it out dry (from the muffler end) was not productive, get some PB or Liquid Wrench on that slip joint and make life easier.

Since my Mist White Emira is in the shop to get PPF done until Sat. I'm just shopping for goodies today. Ordered bunch of stuffs from GRP including Full CT Carbon Kit, Lowering Kit w/Spacers, decat pipe, miltek valve control kit, and license plate holder. What else do you guys recommend me to add to the shopping list?

Still thinking about the lowering kit with spacers. Would love pics and feedback once you have had some time with it.

Gasoline. Lots and lots of gasoline. And then tires. And then more gasoline. 😁

Yes. I’m very curious about ride quality after the lowering sleeves. I will be dailying my Emira so overall comfort is important.

I dropped off the Emira for full car PPF, as my OCD couldn't handle the thought of bare paint any longer!

This is ghastly looking. I got ceramic coating done on the whole car, inside and out and it's great when it comes time to remove bugs. Just takes a wipe with a damp microfiber cloth, and they come right off. Maybe you could get ceramic coating on top of the ppf just in the front, and on the backs of the sideview mirrors.

I'm glad to hear that it helps that much with clean-up! As you can see, I definitely need all the help I can get during grasshopper season in the Texas Hill Country!

After extensive research on PPF, I sought out an installer who specifically uses STEK PPF film. Their DYNOshield film has a proprietary nano-ceramic-infused top coat with extreme hydrophobic properties. I asked the installer if he recommended a ceramic coat over the top of the PPF, and he suggested trying it out with just the PPF. He said I could always do the ceramic coating on top of the PPF if it's not hydrophobic enough for my liking. I appreciated the honesty and his confidence in the product. He could have easily tried to up-sell me on an additional expensive coating while the car was there.

I’m getting Stek installed as well. Just waiting for delivery now. I’ve read stek is optically clearer than xpel and more hydrophobic.

Did Ceramic coating.
Tried on Nissan Patrol latest technology called CeraWater Repellent Plus before doing it on the Emira,
The results are impressive.
Water not only gets repelled. It really bounces!! Watch this video for proof.

Sorry that the video is in Spanish, but I believe is self explainable about the results of water repellent characteristics.
