Drove my new beauty home for the first time from the dealer!
Congratulations!!!!

My car finally at the dealership, passed all inspection and hoping to have it soon 😊
Saw my Emira. My 1st time ever… and it is more beautiful in person. Glad I made the right color choice ( Hethel yellow) . Hopefully to get delivered this week.
Btw, from an hour of talking to my SA I learned a few tips ( certain stuff that had been reported in here ) to at least avoid or minimize having to deal with them

Checked out @morphious short shifter and grabbed this shot.

It was really helpful to drive and compare. His seats were noticeably more flat and steering felt smoother without some of the low speed creaks I have. Good to know for future dealer visit. And short shifter felt great!
Would be helpful to reveal what were the different seats being compared and the short shifter brand.

Not even Emira owners park next to each other. :ROFLMAO:

Got myself a nice selection of used (nearly new) parts for my I4 Emira. Planning to install at the WE. Aerie Ti exhaust and cat. Dump valve, carbon paddles and some carbon trim bits. Everything came in at less than the price of a new Cat ;)

Woke up at 5am to go for a drive through the twisties (Wisemans Ferry for the Sydney AU locals). As soon as I started the car, there was a loud pop. No errors on the dash so I started driving. However, when I got to the twisties and used the Miltek remote to open the exhaust valve, nothing. None of the buttons seemed to do anything. I pulled over, went to the back of the car and noticed when pressing the buttons, there does seem to be a vacuum sound and motor sound so I am assuming the valve controller is working and so is the valve motor which leads me to believe it something to do with the valve or the valve spring. I have contacted Aerie about this. Putting it in Sport or Track and going over 4k rpm also didn't open the valves. Scanned with OBD tool and no error codes.

Annoying that I have go back to the Lotus dealership this week and hopefully get this resolved as I have a track day booked next week and definitely can't do it with valves forced closed.

Got the Aerie sports cat, Ti exhaust and dump valve installed in my I4 Emira today. Was a PITA getting the cat out, later was told the trick how to do it…. Oh well, it’s done now.

Started it up, all good, no errors. Drove back from the shop, no errors with some light blasts. Gave it the full beans and immediately got a check engine light, but other than that, it’s fine. Now need to get the code.

a few things to note. The Aerie cat is quite small, smaller than the original or other brands. The exhaust sounds louder all the time, a deep rumble at low revs. Gets real angry sounding at high revs and high load.

It seems the power level on the display seemed to jump to 411bhp and stay there. Pretty sure it wasn’t behaving like that before.

any updates on the pop sound?

Whoops, I thought you were referring to the loud pop that's heard through the speakers when you open the car door sometimes. Anyways, here's the information on that for anyone wondering.

This was asked at LOG43 during a tech talk with the head of US service. He basically said they would have to solder in some resistors to the electrical system, and it wasn't worth doing, so deal with it. :)
