Warning!!! Do not trust the titanium exhaust for 2.0

I have installed the Chinese titanium exhaust system before, it makes a lot of dangerous things could burn the whole car. Not only my car, but a few Chinese Emira friends also meet same problems.

Last time, I meet the lotus engineer who from UK that tells me the M139 heat system cannot support titanium exhaust weather when aggressive driving.

It will burn the valve motor and wiring harness!!!

Say it again, do not trust any information for the titanium exhaust system about 2.0.

I change back to factory exhausted system plus HJS exhaust manifold. Too many traps to tuned this car for performance, hope someone could break the ECU program locks(Lotus & AMG).

Yeah what the OP said was the early production of Ti exhaust, which is not a problem of the exhaust but the design fault of the exhaust compartment. Even the stock setup if you ran a series of hot laps there is a chance of that happening. Now Ti exhaust comes with heat isolation.

He is one of famous cheater in Chinese emira forum… too many stories & complains, so that he change to foreign emira forum right now, I just warn real emira owners my bad experience. That’s all I can say.

It's really not the problem of any Ti exhaust but the design fault of the exhaust compartment which doesn't have any air flow. There are incidents where the same problem occured from the stock exhaust on track days. So if you like to track your Emira Turbo or have changed out your downpipe, there is a risk. Solution now is to have the whole exhaust system wrapped with heat isolation. A new diffuser with better airflow is also in the work.
