Custom TPE & Carpet Floor Mats and Bootliner

If you get it made, I'd appreciate it if you can work with @GRP to distribute this in the US - it would save us on some shipping costs and headaches of dealing with international shipping, and Greg probably would get you a lot more exposure to the rest of the north America Emira owners population.
Agreed; will need to work out a different model for distributing to the US. Will work that out once I can confirm it is worth going ahead.

Thanks for the suggestions.
* The boot liner can have a couple of slit cut into them so that I can run two 1-inch wide Velcro straps to tie down the hazard triangle. - Cant see an issue with that, will look into this if we get enough interest for the bootliner in general.
* A liner for the shelf behind the seats so I can put my greasy takeout there with no worries. - Can't see an issue with this, was quite a thin space from what i remember, would just need to get it 3d scanned at the same time.
* Possibly liners for the carpeted areas of the door sill. Liner only, no carpet cover layer. - seen some of the faux leather mats which cover that area, not sure about that though as there are no fixing points in that area. Would need double sided tape or velcro, could become a bit of a trip hazard. I could look into it though
Covering the door sill would be fantastic.

I think you may be able to keep it flush and avoid it becoming a trip hazard if you add shape-strengthening ribs and/or have the liner follow the shape of the door sill beyond the flat area (because adding bends is a way of adding strength to the shape). Do you know what I mean?

I couldn't find an example for this material, but it is done quite commonly to metal parts like this:

I mention because in my experience sticking velcro on carpets hasn't been great.

Definitely interested in the boot liner if a better shipping method to the U.S. can be sorted!

I see what you are saying, but I'm still not sure TPE would be rigid enough to stay in place like that.

The door sill is quite wide, so it will definitely have to be a separate piece from the mat. It would follow the shape of the sill and the side of the sill, just not sure how it would fix in place.

Seen some sellers offering carbon fiber versions, I am assuming they are probably velcro/double sided taped on, but the carbon fiber would be rigid enough.

When I'm next in an Emira I'll have a look.

Conscious haven't posted in a week or so.. Just to keep you in the loop..

As mentioned, part of the process is 3D scanning, see attached example of a 3D scan I did today of the Eletre footwell. This can then be cleaned up and used to produce a mould for production.

Working with a new dealership very close to me now (Lotus Berkshire), so next week I'll try and do some scanning of an Emira too.

Cheers!
