Claims a 28hp gain on the tune...

Sent an inquiry about this didn't see it mentioned anywhere. Any feedback from anyone? I'll update with a response from the company if I get one.

It would be very hard to gain 28hp on a tune with no hardware changes or without altering the pulley sizes for the supercharger. If it was that easy via a tune only the likes of Komotec and JUBU would already be offering it instead of 240hp at 6-7 times the price.

You never know I could be wrong but the math doesn't seem right unless the timing was right on the edge and at risk of detonation.

Komotec and Jubu do offer 435/440 tunes on a stock car. I have a komotec 435 tune on my Evora 400 that works flawlessly and survived track days.

The problem is getting a tune from them is pricey or they don't actually deal with the US (Komotec is iffy) JUBU costs like $6K but it's a standalone ECU and have more control but not all the systems are fully functioning yet from a prior inquiry

I've gotten similar gains on just software tunes with minimal hardware.. like cai or exhaust..
There are all sorts of adjustments that can be done closer to reasonable limits. Manufacturers play it very safe.

500 RPM higher redline at about 290 ft-lbs would do that. 290 is a little below the stock peak torque I think.

I'm most intrigued if they can actually flash through OBD. That's how my 400 was done if they can do that with the Emira already just wonder why we do not have more US based options at this time and hope some are coming soon. Obviously a severe lack of info with that tune but it's intriguing

Good looking out! I wasn't planning on using them but did send an inquiry with no response. I was hoping if someone could OBD flash an Emira already that we would have others to the market soon. The car is already a blast but it's hard not to tinker and especially if there's extra power on the table. The Komo-Tec 435 tune made a noticeable improvement on my 400 with no downsides. Hopefully we get a US based option in the future.

I do not understand why it is a complete radio silence about any tune development for this platform considering it is already existing for the Evora ? What is so much different with the Emira vs the Evora to get a 430-440 tune reflash at a reasonable price point. I had an S300 Exige with a Torque300 tune recipe and the Emira is not quick enough for me. I need an extra 50hp to get similar/closer power to weight ratio that I had before.

The Emira’s sales figure are also higher than the Evora so no reason why it would not happen.

Those are the only serious Lotus source specialist that I know I would trust for that kind of mod.

Those are the only serious Lotus source specialist that I know I would trust for that kind of mod.

From my conversations with people also trying to understand this is that when it comes to the automatic cars at least, the 3rd CAN bus is new to the Emira compared to the Evora and is incredibly secured. The result is it needs a couple thousand hours to reverse engineer a solution. This may be a similar story for the manual version as well but who knows.

I think that several shop was thinking at beginning of 2024 that a tune was going to be out before the end of the year but if that is true the secret about the development is well keep. Let’s hope for a +35-40hp and a 7200 rpm limit at a decent price cheaper then what is available right now at 6-7K usd. ( 10K cad in my case )

Agree, and if I had to choose between higher rev or more power, I'd take higher rev - to me the redline feels unnatural in a way that you need to watch the tach vs feel the engine peak out - I'd rather keep my eyes on the road and feel a natural power peak which tells my brain its time to shift. But I'll take more power too, of course
