Took a few hours (the hardest part was figuring out how to get the oem downpipe out) the sound is incredible and my power in the performance display now goes up to 420HP FROM 381HP
The only gripe is the mounting to the side plate with the notch and two bolts is 25mm out, i will try and fit some spacer tube and longer bolts, other than that no CEL and car pulls like a train with explosive cracks on gear change.
The car now just goes and goes to redline i’m very impressed with the additional throttle response
I have a miltek valve controller fitted, with the valve set to open the noise on start up is loud and powerful the exhaust pops and crackles when the gas pedal is blipped in park.
No only mods to the car sports cat and miltek, i will be lowering via the circlips (free lowering) fitting 12mm spacers and a front spoiler next (i would love a set of extended diffuser bars as well but waiting until grP gloss black becomes available as i don’t dig the carbon look done that years ago on my 570s and it looks dated now in my opinion only)We require videos.
It's curious that the performance display changed. You didn't have to retune anything, right?
Have your Emira Turbo updated with the newest transmission software? There are cases where owners updated to the new software and lost the exhaust pop, mine is still there but not as pronounced as before.Just fitted this

All software was updated before i picked up the car 2 months ago, i dont have the delay when paddle shifting or the problem selecting reverse or 1st.Have your Emira Turbo updated with the newest transmission software? That's good, so it not a common caseAll software was updated before i picked up the car 2 months ago, i dont have the delay when paddle shifting or the problem selecting reverse or 1st.
I’m very happy with the sound and the extra power and pick up.
How did you remove the OEM downpipe - on the A45 you had to remove the headers and turbo housing first, but can you just open the inspection hatch in the trunk and remove it?Just fitted this

I'm literally doing mine now. Just waiting for the new downpipe from GRP to arrive today (GRP exhaust is due on Monday). It was a nightmare to get the OEM downpipe out, but I managed to take off the turbo exhaust housing and the manipulate it enough to take if out from the inspection hatch. Must be an easier way??????How did you remove the OEM downpipe - on the A45 you had to remove the headers and turbo housing first, but can you just open the inspection hatch in the trunk and remove it?
I see, it looks like I can replace it myself. I'll give it a try.If you remove the 2 bolts on the RHS that hold the heat shield to the body, you can manipulate it backwards that will give you 30mm wriggle room and the oem pipe just slides right out
Cheers
The new GRP downpipe went in so easily. Everything lined up perfectly. Recommended so far.... just waiting to fit the new exhaust and then fire her up.I see, it looks like I can replace it myself. I'll give it a try.
I will add that if the article is true then the catalyst does restrict the turbo spooling up, when i fitted the sports cat to my vehicle the acceleration really has noticeably improved from all speeds.Completed the Valve controller; sound is decent but not very impressive.
Wanted to collect feedback on 2nd cat delete. Is there a noticeable increase sounds? vs open exhaust valve on stock exhaust.
Good article on exhaust and HP.

I’ve never heard of a cat that doesn’t rob the engine of some power.Completed the Valve controller; sound is decent but not very impressive.
