Damn these Emira owners are pickyWould it be possible to change the splash image for people who don't have silver cars?

That'd be sickThis one. I'd pay someone to make a render of my car. I just want to know if your mod allows us to change the image file.

Wow. My thanks to ADC for introducing me to the wonderful world of "leetspeak" or some version of it. I had to look up "leet haxor", then "leetspeak" to understand the post just made. You can tell I'm not a "gamer".Unless I've misunderstood, and @Sentinel is a leet haxor, this replaces the stock Android Auto UI... you won't be able to ride roughshod over the rest of the infotainment UX.
This looks like a fun little project. Nice work
(*hides patiently behind seven proxies, fearing a smackdown from Leet Haxor Sentinel)
So for those with an iPhone (iOS), nothing will happen?I hope @Sentinel can confirm, but I this is my understanding:
Think of the project as a combination of an Android app and the proprietary hardware it runs on (instead of your smartphone). The hardware will allow extra goodies not available on your smartphone, such as data interface from the CANBUS and Homelink compatible functions. The car will boot up as normal (all the Lotus designed splash screens, seat belt warnings, etc.), start Android Auto, and then connect to the device. All functions that came with the car are untouched.

Ahh right. No it doesn’t alter the stock system at all. All the original stuff is still there. It loads over the top via Android AutoThis one. I'd pay someone to make a render of my car. I just want to know if your mod allows us to change the image file.

Let's wait for an answer from the OP, but my speculation is that it would look like you went out and bought an Android smartphone: the car will still connect to your iPhone, allowing you to take calls and other standard Bluetooth functions, but you will have to toggle between two devices to use the apps on each device. So for those with an iPhone (IOS), nothing will happen?
As @Emira Fan asked, the question is whether the project can act as an Apple Carplay "host" to connect to your iPhone...QQ- Does the factory infotainment permit an Android external 'override' input and iOS carplay that the same time?
CarPlay is still supported. You just connect your phone to the new device instead of the car.Let's wait for an answer from the OP, but my speculation is that it would look like you went out and bought an Android smartphone: the car will still connect to your iPhone, allowing you to take calls and other standard Bluetooth functions, but you will have to toggle between two devices to use the apps on each device.

Hope to see answers, as this would be a deciding factor for iPhone users.
[edit] I think we got the answers.
Ok, that certainly clarifies it. Thanks and btw great initiative.CarPlay is still supported. You just connect your phone to the new device instead of the car.
