Japan - Emira Ownership (エミーラ納車とその後)

I had missed this article. Thanks. Looking forward to it. My emira often breaks down so the delay is not problem.
Yesterday, I received a message saying that Emira's parts will arrive at the end of the year. Your parts may also arrive from the UK together, so please have a fun.

What parts are you waiting for? I am still waiting for my sunvisors...

AMG 2.0 OIL LEVEL LOW (right after first oil change)

I have had the pleasure of going on trips on mountainous, winding road routes in Japan together with other Emira owners. The autumn colors have never looked greater, and my motoring life is good❣️

In between trips, my DV AMG 2.0 Turbo topped 1600 km, so I had my first (prepaid) service with oil change. My DCT software was also updated, so it became much smoother to shift into R (reverse) and 1 (first gear), and I noticed that shift speeds both UP and DOWN when using the paddles had gotten faster, so finally my DCT box does feel like a recent McLaren or Ferrari (I would like to believe).

One puzzling thing is that when cruising the Tohoku Expressway after a group tour to the Nikko area, I got an OIL LEVEL LOW display on the main panel. (The display disappeared, and later Kotus Service said they found no trace of any problem). I also checked with the right side function selector which found an oil symbol followed by OK, but it also said 5.1 liter, 0.9 liter below MAX. I asked Lotus Service when I had the car in for another unrelated reason, but they said all is OK, and that there is no fault.

On my way home to West-Tokyo the OIL LEVEL LOW display showed again, and since I was in go-stop traffic on Kannana (Tokyo Ringway #7) I managed to snap photos of the relevant screens, and after I came home, I forwarded them to my Lotus Service contact.

I was asked to come to Ishikawadai (where Lotus Tokyo Service is located) which I did. This time they topped up the oil from 5.1 liter to the MAX 6.0 liter. After this, when I use the function selector, I get a display that says: OIL LEVEL GOOD

I never got any explanation why Lotus Service did not fill up 6.0 liter in the first place, and this post shall not be seen as a complaint. I am simply enjoying all types of experiences with my new Lotus, and «I am a happy

I had a similar issue, but slightly in reverse. I got the oil low message, saying down to 5.0l, so topped it off with a litre of oil. But it didnt register it being added.
Called the dealership to ask what I should do, as my concern was either oil was burning at a stupid rate, or the sensor was not working correctly and I might have over filled it. Turns out it takes quite a while for the sensor to register the new level. I did a 300 mile journey on Friday and about 2/3rds of the way through it, the level now reads 6.5ltrs.
