Appreciate this post, thanks!

Any thoughts on the Lisle funnel you used vs. one of the locking ones?

Check out this thread for more detailed commentary:

In answer to your question, the threaded 2-piece Toyota funnel sits too high and hits the rear glass window so it doesn’t work. However the small threaded end itself from that Toyota funnel (the one small piece), combined with the Lisle right angle funnel, worked well. I posted a photo in the thread above, showing this application. Good luck!

I took a hacksaw and a file to the threaded one and took down the top third of the funnel. Works great now.

Great informative and educational video. Much appreciated.

Wow! Thank you
does anyone know how to reset the oil service for the 1k oil change , I tried the steps provided with the reset and the ignition switch on a v6 2024 and I don't get the wrench symbol

This combo worked well, especially for an old guy. Not as much leaning out during the fill up… ha! It also makes it very easy to keep things clean with no overspill.

Also thanks to the OP for the video…very helpful as well.

Sorry, I don't remember, and I didn't mention the size in the video. I'm going to guess that the Amazon size is correct, but I don't remember using a different socket than I did on the OEM drain plug.

Hey Juan,
You probably already figured it out by now, but recently I tried to reset the oil service warning message myself and encountered the same difficulty you and a few other members have. I finally found out how it actually resets. The manual's instructions posted previously are not accurate, but I found the most useful guide at the end of great Dragoon's oil change video with the instructions pictured below, with the single exception that what actually flashes is not a "wrench symbol", rather it's a yellow warning triangle at the bottom of the dashboard screen. You need to turn off the ignition 4 seconds or less from the point it starts flashing (while it's flashing). Coincidentally, that yellow triangle flashes just about for those 4 seconds before it goes blank.
This was how I got it to reset on my Emira. Again, maybe this news is too late for you, but hopefully it could help others going forward.

Thanks @Dragoon for this video. You’ve given me some confidence to (maybe) try this myself and the third cat delete at the same time. I have only ramps, so appreciate any feedback if anyone thinks this could be done successfully without a lift.

Also, anyone confirm if the magnetic drain plug washer was m12 or m14? Why do you prefer this over the OEM one that came with the plug?

Hell yeah it can be done on ramps. I’ve done 2 oil changes on the Emira thus far.

Make sure you get that angled funnel too. Makes it so much easier to pour in the new oil

The third cat delete pipe will be tricky on ramps, but it can be done. We broke a manual exhaust pipe expander today and had to take the pipe to an exhaust shop to have it expanded to exactly 3". Once you get the pipe expanded, it helps to expand the muffler pipe with a manual expander a bit, so you don't have to fight so hard to get the newly expanded cat delete pipe back in. Once you get a tight fit, the exhaust clamp can do its job, but it won't shrink the pipe down to anything less than 3" in my experience.
