It definitely has the ability to push the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. It doesn’t have the ability to walk up to the car with the fob in your pocket and unlock automatically without you using the fob.Would really appreciate if someone can for sure verify that this car will have requirement to push key fob button to open doors. I'll quit sweating my decision and cancel.

All the more olives for the rest of usThat can't be a deciding factor
Like refusing to date that amazing supermodel because she doesn't eat olives (no euphemism implied!)
I was going to ask the same thing. Surely this can’t be the reason to forego a purchase. I guess I could see deferring a purchase until the tech catches up with other cars, or maybe being priced out (ie, the car is not good value in your mind) but key fob functionality, really? That can't be a deciding factor

Olives , stones, plums, nuts etc etcAnd maybe I’m too thick, but what euphemism does an olive represent?
Oh. Got it. I recently learned that I should never send fruit emojis. What kind of sick world do we live in when a peach or eggplant emoji is off limits. I am officially old.Olives , stones, plums, nuts etc etc

It’s absolutely a deal breaker for me. This will be my daily driver and with all the alternatives out there there is no way I’m going to be rooting around trying to find a key to open my doors.I was going to ask the same thing. Where will it end. Human race in pods plugged into the Matrix because we can't face getting out of bedIt’s absolutely a deal breaker for me. This will be my daily driver and with all the alternatives out there there is no way I’m going to be rooting around trying to find a key to open my doors.
That literally has not been a thing for 5-10 years.
It’s more like dating a model that wants to pick her nose at dinner every single night . Yah I might overlook it for the first few exciting nights but after that it’s gonna get annoying real fking fast.
I would say if you've never had a car with it, it sounds like a silly thing, but I keep my keys in my briefcase and never take them out, my wife keeps them in her purse. We literally never touch a key, you just walk to the car and open it and then start it. Once you get used to it, it's like living in a smart home - I don't set my alarm it sets itself as I leave the home, etc. I'm not going backwards in my life. I completely understand why some would find this an absurd reason to ditch a car, but it would totally piss me off every time I had to find my key.I’m amazed it’s a deal breaker. It’s too much effort to put your hand in your pocket to unlock the car? Wow. I thought I was fairly tech savvy, but that seems like a disproportionate reliance on a tech feature. Your choice of course.
Out of interest, what gearbox option are you choosing?
Totally understand, I do remember a dark day indeed when I once had to get the my own ice for my gin & tonic the horror.I would say if you've never had a car with it, it sounds like a silly thing, but I keep my keys in my briefcase and never take them out, my wife keeps them in her purse. I was initially I4/DCT but had decided V6 manual once I saw the low HP on the turbo 4. Now I'm thinking of going back to the Taycan vs. 911 debate I was doing before.
