Magicman, really enjoying your ongoing posts as you discover new insights with the car. I saw in the owners manual that Launch Control becomes available after 500 miles. Be sure to let us know if you decide to try it, assuming you can find a sunny day for it 🌞.

Only thing is there is no Launch Control in Manual Version. Only for us in Auto 😜

Seats- 3hrs straight with no fiddling and no comfort issues at all.

Beyond the issues that you are having with the saggy leather, are you still happy with your choice of seat/leather color?

I have been Seneca Blue, black alcantara with yellow stitching all along, but after seeing Nimbus in person at a test drive event this past weekend, I'm considering switching the exterior color.

And I really like how the tan breaks up an otherwise black interior, and contrasts well with the Nimbus

Yes really happy, would definitely spec the same again, it tones/contrasts really well. The main word used by people on seeing it is Classy so depends if you want that sportier look of seneca or not.

So the airbag light was a loose wire, latest Infotainment update done today as well.

Mentioned the baggy seat but kinda got a "they all do that" and they've not seen any communication from lotus to indicate its an issue under investigation.

Took a mate that's into cars in it today, had gt3, Nobel, m3 csl etc back in the day. Was really impressed with the car, stand out point he said was the compliance of the suspension whilst still feeling nimble and in its toes

So based on the first sentence of this post, I assume Lotus doesn’t/can’t do over-the-air software updates of the infotainment system?

I'd guess not, although it is connected to the WiFi, apparently this was a 3hr update so I guess you wouldn't want to loose signal mid update 🤣

The (very similar) Lynk & Co 01 system wasn't capable of OTA updates when launched either, but it is now..... 🤞

I am a bit late to your party but again many congrats on the most classy Emira spec IMHO. I had already ordered mine in Magma and white leather with full black pack and yellow calipers, and when I saw Nimbus and tan at the factory and now in your pics I am mildly regretful tbh. Yours is stunning.

No OTA updates for the Emira. It will be available on the Eletre.

Absolute riot on a crappy B Road this car, so nimble and alive, I've got used to the steering now, the cars easy to place on the road, I still think throttle travel is too long but I'm getting used to it. Getting practiced at heal and toe again after years of paddles and auto blip on the gt4. It's definitely a car you build a bond with.
I'm on 650mls now so had the odd trip to 5k, unleashed the Emira, as I suspected, is more than enough for the road, that sweetspot of excitement without it trying to kill you.
As you can see below I had to lean on the brakes quite hard and they're very strong, slightly gray tootling around town though.
10deg and dry today and there's tons if grip from the Goodyears, the cup2 will be phenomenal on a hot summers day and smooth road.

A few observations, the engine does appear to be gaining a bit more voice, if you have the window's down you realise it's quite a bit louder than you think from the inside.

The cup holders are next to useless and I've nowhere to put my bottle on the way to the gym.

The little storage in the front center console is also a bit useless. You can put your phone in but it's just a bit to awkward and easy to catch a heater button to he useful.

The tan seats seem to denim stain really easily (I have a very similar colour in my T6 that doesnt) although it wipes off easily enough. The seat base has gotten no worse, if anything I'd say slightly better which is odd 🤔

I'm on near 800 mls so as advised by Scott w I've let it off the leash a few times very briefly and all the above is irrelevant. As I posted on my insta you'd think the engine could potentially be a bit of a weak spot for this car but not one bit of it. You get no sense of its humble origins and is easily as charismatic in its own way as my 981 gt4's lump.

If its dry I've been using track, there's lots if grip, wet I've been using sport. If I've done 5mls total in tour I'd be surprised

It continues to stop people in the street to stare.

Have you tried something like this to try and stop the dye transfer ?

I feel the same about the engine, not sure where all the negativity about it came from, heresay rather than experience?
