USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Same! First was Christmas delivery, then before new years, then nothing.
Been annoying trying to lock down time w/ my PPF installer with dates that never arrive.

My VIN oddly was supposed to have gone to prod in Oct come with their Nov batch, but mysteriously didn't get built but had a VIN assigned 🤷‍♂️
Then suddenly appeared on 12/15 boat. So a bit worried it was built earlier but just sat around and forgotten for a month 😬

My Canadian car was on the 12/15 boat and arrived at the dealer this morning. They said 24 hours to PDI and I can pick it up! Excited to see the car finally arrive, but unfortunately won't be able to drive it until Spring with our winters. Turbo i4 Hethel Yellow on Ice Grey with full black pack.

Which dealer?

Hi,

Anyone from the Northeast still waiting for their I4 to be delivered from Port to dealer? I was told eoy, then 1 week after that, and now crickets!

If even dealers closer to port are delayed, seems to me something is amiss. Pinged my socal dealer again, said no updates

for what it's worth, my dealer today stated Lotus trying to deliver hundreds of I4's by using the same carrier?!?!?

Well that makes sense, I mean they have been to model of efficiency through out the whole process..🤦‍♂️

So, is there any point in placing a deposit? With whom? And really would it be worth the wait?

I'm thinking that instead of getting in the queue and crossing my fingers for a 2025 delivery, I should just buy from a dealer stock. Trouble is, I like all yellow, no black pack, and I haven't seen one up for sale in months of looking.

Advise pls?

I haven't seen their inventory on Autotrader, etc, but they have a yellow Emira:

Thanks bro I saw that one. Looks like it has a few miles on it sadly.

I'm curious if all dealers are treated the same, or whether there are some with more clout with the factory? Some dealers seem to have more stock than others. I wonder if a deposit with one of these might result in faster delivery?

Yeah, but it represents a 10% savings over new. That’s like receiving $20/mile driven. And I’m sure you could negotiate beyond their asking price.

480 miles on an engine that should easily go over 100k without much of an issue doesn’t seem like a big deal. See if they’ll add a couple years warranty at no cost to make you feel better.

Or…build your own and wait 😉

There's a lot of uncertainty right now about tariffs in the US. While the UK hasn't been a target so far, I do wonder if China-owned companies with production outside of China may be targeted at some point (to prevent them from getting around tariffs by just shifting manufacturing). Or if Lotus may face greater supply costs and have to raise their prices. If you find one in inventory, it might be a good idea to grab it.
