Any chance Lotus having auto rev match on the manual Emira?

I know Porsche and many other auto manufacturers have added auto rev match on their manual transmissions.
Last year I bought a Hyundai Veloster N and it has auto rev matching, and I'm very glad it does, because the pedals are not set up very well at all for heel and towing.
My Ariel Atom was perfect for heel and toe rev matching.
My Boxter was pretty good.
Are most Lotus cars set up and easy for heel and towing??
Cheers.

I liked this..... good size... feels well made..... finish feel good in hand

Speaking of that, Tom, why is there no “frunk”
There's not enough room. The front is full of radiators, oil coolers, fluid reservoirs, pumps, air channels etc. Take a look at clam-off pictures of an Evora and you'll see a similar situation.

I'd be happy if they included bespoke secured luggage behind the seats on the FE (asking too much lol)
Bespoke luggage for the rear trunk/boot and for behind the seats is coming.

Lets hope its a little cheaper than the tool bags...... have no issue with good quality, at a good price ?

Thanks for all of your knowledge and time on these questions. You're a true hero on these forums. Also, I don't want to come off as ragging on the Emira. I think its great and I look forward to owning one very much.

As I've said elsewhere, ignore everything you see or read or hear about the Chinese show cars - they are not production or close to production.
for what it's worth, 99% sure this is the car that toured the US too, it's got the weird knob/button in the cupholder area too. either way, a fob isn't going to change my mine :)

edit: it's in japan I think, so correlates with where that car is supposed to be from what I understand.

My Evora had a tiny frunk. Just big enough to keep something like a Mars Bar! I was stopped going through customs on the way to France and asked to open the boot which I did. When they asked me to open the bonnet I smiled and popped open the mini frunk! (It’s just an access hatch for the fluid reservoirs).

No worries! I also don't want to come across as being defensive about Lotus or the car - I'm generally trying to provide info to fill in gaps or help people understand why Lotus may have made certain decisions. There are a lot of things they need to do better, including communication and listening to customer feedback - particularly as they bring in customers new to Lotus who have different expectations.

Anyone who owned an S1 Elise regards the S2 Elise as over-specified and an Evora as overweight and luxurious! But people coming from Porsche, Jaguar etc have a different benchmark. There are some things that are common on mass-produced cars that it's hard for Lotus to do on a low volume car and/or still meet a price target. But they have access to far more tech now in the Geely group than they did before.

The Shadow Grey dynamic prototype that's currently in Japan is the one that was at Goodwood (running), Laguna Seca and the US dealer tour last year. There's a Seneca Blue show car that was used for the reveal, Goodwood (static), UK and European dealer tours. Both are pre-production and have some well-defined differences from production spec, including ride height and the seats.

The two cars in Shanghai are a Seneca Blue (also used for car shows in China) and a Hethel Yellow show car. There are also some components and samples with those cars in the Shanghai dealership. Those two cars are not to production standard and have quite a long list of differences, including some of the colours and finishes.

Does anyone know if you have to put the physical key into the ignition, turn the key and then push the starter button on the Emira?
I believe that's how they started the Evora.

Is the ride height of the Shadow Grey prototype the confirmed ride height for the production cars?

What is the crack there Tom (if you have insight) where we're those cars produced....

The grey car has slightly higher ride height than production, by about 5mm. The blue car is about 20mm lower than production.

Show cars are produced by third parties rather than in house.

A lot of the parts are one-offs and are made by machining from lumps of metal and painting. Panels can be hand laid fibreglass sheet and resin, then hand-sprayed. These days a lot can be 3D printed. Some components will be a “close enough” items from off the shelf. Some may be prototype or trial versions from potential suppliers.

A lot of what you can’t see is just empty or ballast.

About to plunk down the remainder of my 10% deposit and locking in on a configuration. Still think it is poor form to not include ADAS or auto-blip as originally promised, and with no price adjustment for the lack of these. At this rate I'm getting a car that basically is not much different as far as tech from my Evora400 that I recently sold.

They defo didn't promise auto blip. And there is lots of new tech over your old Evora! Be it tech tech or chassis development :)

I was initially told ADAS was included, Auto-blip was a hope! Just figured a $100K car would likely include such a feature considering I have had and have a number of "lesser" cars that included this feature.
