Sorry I have always thought the boxster is a hairdressers Car and I kid you not my hairdresser guess what she drives say no more ….. Porsches have never floated my boat - the look of them are simply dated IMO they do not pass the head turner test. My cars every time I park up always look back more than once and at the beauty that they are

I’ve been a passenger in a boxster and that was definitely enough for me

I drove the older cayman and it was noisy, uncomfortable and the gear stick was stupidly high which was uncomfortable

I had a deposit on the 4.0 which they wouldn’t let me drive

My Macan has a loose or broken engine bolt, a known factory issue and they want 8k to fix it. Their “service” department ignored about 6 weeks of my emails until I rang and spoke to their manager.

Porsche suck.

They’ve said they won’t start the test drive bookings until every UK dealer has a demo car. No indication on how long that means, but I assume mid Oct.

I’ll see what B&C say tomorrow, as they now have a demo car but apparently can’t do test drives until Lotus tell them.

Oh ffs it will be our Xmas pressie get to demo the Emira form an orderly queue please

there is an awful lot of FFSing today.... and thats before any official email to the Sept / OCT build people to say their cars are actually delayed, which we dont know for sure yet.
We still have the person that spoke to shimmy that said he said (yes I know) he was invited to Lotus next week to watch his car being built!...
How can this be with dealer cars so far behind..... can it be..... if it can be.... then I would still be hopeful of the off 10 customer cars getting delivered in oct and maybe 50 in november.... but as always gesticulation

Still think the new landrover product designs are great ...defender TOP TOP TOP.. new rangerover, too big for me, but looks fantastic.

Been looking at the Defender as replacement for Disco as we’ve had a few Discos now - it’s commercial but defenders quiet expensive at mo and not many about with the jump seat. There is literally 4 in whole of County as Landrover have stopped now for a long time ability to order with this and other options - due to supply chain issues

The cars are delayed for sure again. My estimate is 1 month extra... Oct builds will now be Nov and Dec delivery.

I suppose in a way makes sense. They are building cars with missing parts, going back and retro fitting hundreds of cars. Not to mention all of this is on a new car, so previous experience in a way won't help that much. It is a learning curve, not only parts delay's.

I have a custom cabinet shop and I always pad my delivery estimates. That way if something unexpected comes up I still have on-time delivery and usually I am early which makes for very happy customers. It ain't rocket science, don't make promises unless you know you can keep em. This is the result! It looks to me like everyone is calculating production rates at full capacity. Anyone who has ever done production scheduling/machine loading knows to plan at an 85% efficiency to account for unkown shit! That ain't rocket science either...

Definitely not rocket science. If there is a delay we notify customer immediately with a new delivery date.
Customers I think appreciate honesty not BS stories

Nice! I'm on my second Defender... just took delivery of our 2023 110X. Took 13 months to get... deposit to delivery! It's our tow vehicle... need the 8.2k lb capacity. I refused to buy a pickup!

That’s lovely does a bike rack still work with the defender - with the wheel on back surely there won’t be enough clearance for the bike ? Which colour is that ….

It was always going to kick off last day of the month when no updates have been sent.

I’m going with no news is good news, if another delay is ounced then there will be a lot of people having to make that big decision, do you stay or do you go

I'm usually positive and pretty upbeat but in my experience, no news is usually bad news, in that nothing is happening.
