Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

I have to say Tom, i am somewhat confused. On Wednesday i called LCS to ask how my order was progressing. I was told by the nice lady it would be introduced to the Chapman Production Centre on Thursday for its 12 hour circuit of said facility. Then when my car reaches the end of the line and gets to see daylight for the first time, i would be receiving, i assume, the check out email somtime next week. With estimated delivery first or second week in November. Only to receive on Friday the order update email from Lotus advising us of delays. Any thoughts?
LCC didn't know about the latest delays until mid Friday like the rest of us. So during last week they were telling people there were no delays.

The email has gone to all UK deposit holders, including people who have already done checkout (and bizarrely to people who have cancelled).

My assumption is a few cars are still very close to being delivered and more are in build or waiting for shortage parts. It's therefore possible the checked out folks may get contacted in the next week or so to arrange delivery. You may still get contacted in the next week to do checkout. But it's all up in the air until we get customer-specific updates.

The internal operations at Hethel which can ship cars to Europe, but can't email the documentation to go with them beggars belief.
So it seems, even from a low bar, they have excelled themselves and are getting worse.

Thank you Tom. Just thinking, if my car was starting production on Thursday, and i was told that on Wednesday, and they didnt know about possible delays till Friday, do you think my car has actually started being produced?

Sorry, I have no idea. Nothing they say can be relied upon.

Yes i to find it difficult to believe what they tell me. It was just this time they said it would definitely start production as it was scheduled on Thursday.

They told me two weeks ago all UK dealers would definitely have a demo car by 14 Oct 🤷‍♂️

Yes, they told me on Wednesday demo cars would be delivered last week in October. So it does seem they are not singing from the same hymn sheet when it comes to giving out information.

I think there is more to it than parts, Lotus have now moved the goal posts to many times, I think they still haven't got the car right, we keep hearing about snags on the cars and engine management lights that won't go out and even type approval not complete on a couple of the versions. Lotus are buying more time.

I keep reading that email that went out yesterday and can't get my head around where it is going.

The trouble they have now as well is that everything will be urgent.
Would love to know how they have decided to prioritise

Did you ever see the Big Bang episode where they were camping out in the wilds and consumed some magic mushrooms?

You should consider changing your forum name to Adonis 😀
