Worth a try. I got told NO and I know the Master Tech at the dealership that put in a good word. They literally have like 10 cars a year.... 😪
From what I understand from a colleague who tried to get a Cayman GT4RS, they are as difficult to get. Local Porsche dealer gets 3 or 4 a year, and has more than 40 on the waiting list.

Exactly this and my mate works at one of the larger dealers

One option is to get to know a few dealers & be ready to move immediately on any cancellation… in the current climate you never know what might come up

Just received my checkout email, getting very excited now, hopefully not too much longer!
great! on checkout does it confirm final total price by the way? and if so, does this differ from the configuration?

Just got my check out email too 💪🏻 Haven’t opened the link in case I knacker it.
Any indications on how delivery various options will impact on the delivery date??
I spoke to a Lotus contact yesterday after the Harry video appeared to suggest collect from Hethel might be constrained due to the number of people wanting it. That's not the case and there should be no real difference between each delivery option in terms of when you get the car. After checkout and about 1-2 weeks before delivery LCC will contact you and give you 3 options on dates. If those don't work (eg I may be out of the country for work) they will try to offer alternatives.

Yes i saw that too, obviously Brexit played a big part in the decisioning of these cars going to Australia ;)
Ffs Brexit happened 31st January 2020 and it’s still be wavered as an excuse to stuff up in timings. I’m sure in most peoples jobs and industries that they work in - you are well aware of it and for one my blue chip company where very well prepared for it as planning happened a long time before D day😞

One minute we are told that only left hand drive cars can be build because of parts supply issues. And now we here that 20 right hand drive cars are heading to Australia. So UK can't have cars but Australia can as there is no issue with parts. You couldn't make it up. Names out of a hat I still think.

Not sure if they could manage a bigger FU to the U.K. buyers?

As posted on the Henry thread they are purely interested in getting as much $$$$ as possible at present.
No sense prioritising the UK at all with its crushed pound. You can maybe blame Brexit partly for that mind
