Good news is Dan you are the first batch,its now being built December with delivery in January.

Is it ,my arse it is.
A other delay will come yet again in December.

Lotus can f**k off now ,I'm sick and tired of this.
Fairplays to the Chap on the phone,but I've told them I will be ringing back on Monday to decide if I'm switching to Base or not,with Q3 2023 delivery(again ,my arse).

I'm in Porsche dealers tomorrow, that's the last straw.
If the smiles there I'm taking it and I'm out of this queue.

I called Lotus CS back and was told that I just missed the first batch and that I’m at the start of the second batch.

I’m due an Oct build Nov delivery (really?) and should get checkout email by the end of the month. Was originally due a Sep build.

I was also told they are trying to get 300 UK cars out this year.

Not sure how that compares to others but it is what it is. I hope others don’t have much more of a delay either.

Have not received any email from Lotus today. I was a 7 Jul 2pm deposit and Nov production - so was hoping to get an update today.

apparently im approx 175 in queue, of which 25 have done the checkout process... not sure how this compares to what others have been told ..

Heard all the same patter some months back. Its not a given until the money has been paid and there's a car built. These timeframes still seem aspirational when they are still building for the ROW currently.
Ive not had my second email today, only the protect one, so i may get mine in 30 days lol

I got a txt message to say Porsches rate going up from 1st November, currently 7.9% on new cars, think the sales guy said it was going to be either 10 or 11%.
If Lotus keep it at 6.9% it may work out better to take the PCP rather than use savings as currently 1 year fixed rates for savings are 4.5% expected to rise soon.

Tony that is a good point anyone who is an early depositor and hasn't received their email is still in with a chance of a 30 day check out email.

NEW ish INFO

I just drove back to Spain from France and away from my broken hot water tank to 30C and hence no need for hot water tank...
I got my call from Lotus half an hour ago, NOT from the number in the second email ironically and as usual the call could not complete outside of the UK so I had to call them back. Below is the info I was given, asked for.... maybe help..maybe not.

1. As mentioned above, 25 have completed the check out process.... we dont know about many of them, so shows there is life outside this forum, good for them . Nearly all these people including Harry should get their cars in NOVember.

2. I was June/July/Sept/ October build was latest and Nov handover..... that is now 1 month further delayed to November build and Xmas handover.

3. Checkout email should be in the next few weeks, some 4 weeks before handover. 3 potential handover dates will be offered.. choose one or..try to delay. If you delay you will head to the next group for scheduling which would be after January and hence could be feb/march/april.

4. They predict there will be 150 UK cars built this year .... and by January end..300 in total.

5. For November hand over, around 20 cars, including Harry MetC we imagine and Shixxy.

6. I was an early depositor, but not ahead of Tom, as I was no. 30 something. I will supposedly be in the first 60 cars handed over / built. They are starting to contact now via phone in some sort of order, so early depositors expect your calls today or Monday....

7. Yes, I am no hypocrite, and I did via email and phone say I am happy to wait while others who deposited before me get their cars. Of course I whispered it in a very low voice and they maybe didnt hear me... NO, I did say it and write it, but of course CS could not care less and have no influence over such things, but my offer was/is there.

8. Test drives within the next 1 - 3 weeks..... November for sure. Should be contacted to arrange, I wont be partaking in such frivolities, live life on the edge, take a risk for heavens sake, what have you got to lose, all that coupled with the fact I've driven the car for a few hours so a bit redundant and I live 1500 miles away too.
