Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

It’s a good point that did cross my mind. To even be in a position where we are thinking that is possible shows how badly we have been treated. A lot worse going on in the world granted.
Wish I never told anyone I had ordered one , gets embarrassing trying to explain.
If the shipping costs are being blamed as part of the problem why do they ship cars abroad ?? It must be to increase profits margins

but you are not auto..this is mainly for auto people..at least those with a big shift are auto...
You will still be the same as me...... nov confirmed..december delivery...us and even the doubting thomas leonard
No, manuals too - my manual build was this month, now it’s March (if you believe anything they say any more)

So why are the manuals been shifted right back ???? or r UK 🇬🇧 being further and further deprioritised - this is now a complete shambles from one day to next a move of another 3 months on top of all the previous delays what a shit show
What on earth has happened here?

Are all of us that were told Januarybdeliver over the phone last week, now receiving emails telling us it's march/April?
I've not received anything?

@TomE are you any wiser on the latest?
When I spoke to CS last Friday they said first delayed batch,December build January delivery, which I believe you were too(for some barmy reasoning)

... ok im sorry about that, but when were you told your build would be november for the first time? were you originally in June? ie first batch or were you always later than that.
the 1st batch people were originally told June, then July... then perhaps september.. etc
where as some people have been told November time from a few months ago and simply haven't been updated until now, hence as everyone in the 1st batch is 2-3 months delayed, it would be in that case not a surprise that the original Oct/November people are now March, forgive me if I am mistaken?
If I get an email this/next week telling me I'm now March, I will take it all back.... but I dont feel this will be the case.. famous last words

I was 14th July deposit-In April I was told September build, at Goodwood FoS I was told this had slipped to November, and today told March ‘23. Perhaps you’ll be luckier with yours …. 🤞

Exactly my feelings. Getting bored of trying to answer questions about the car when i don't know anything. People are questioning IF there is a car at all.

Do you think Geely is just a huge bot-driven catfishing operation that we’ve all fallen for 😳 We keep sending money for ‘plane tickets’, and we’re sure she’s definitely coming this time ….

8th of July 21 deposit
Originally may
Then June
Then August
Then October build November delivery
Told on the phone 3pm Monday I would now be Jan as not in first 250.
Not had an email yet telling me I'm April
But I did tell the guy on the phone Monday I couldn't believe anything he told me because of what has been said in the past.
Disgrace no defence just rubbish.

ok, so you were told september originally, when those in the 1st batch were told June build.... so from the start you were 3 months later then the first batch.
This 1st batch is now split over a handful November deliveries.. maybe 20/25... and then another 60 - 100 in December... and the rest in January. Hence all the original June people are now split from November to January... a 6 month delay from original promised date.
You were september, so logically adding 6 months, which we have known about now for a while... you are March.

You are still roughly 3 months behind the original 150 odd depositors.
So, while I'm sympathetic, I am just trying to stop the feeling that Lotus have suddenly delayed manual boxes again by some extra 3 months.... this is not the case. Its just that they are now continuing the last 10 days emails to their customers, but nothing has changed, in reality if you follow the forum and waste a lot of time like me.. haha.. you would have already had a pretty good idea that you were going to be 2023 and March would be a good guess based on your deposit date.
There will also be some more cancellations by the look of it, so you could well get another call bringing you the chance to move forward ;)...

Got my email this afternoon. My production has been moved from Nov 22 (in last update) to Mar 23. So, April delivery. 7 July ‘21 deposit. Manual.

Just ignoring the updated dates now. They mean nothing and Lotus is shameless about changing them. Cancelled my Eletre deposit last week, and now Emira is hanging by a thread. Lotus clearly wants UK depositors #fortheexcitment to sell elsewhere, not #fortheUKdrivers. Imagine what the service and parts situation for UK will be. Currently enjoying my Alpine A110 and looking at other cars. Let’s see.

You wont be delayed...(not based on todays info at least) people are simply getting confused by the lastest round of phone calls...
The people being "delayed" now are those who are behind you and had as of yet NOT been called, unlike you. So your dates AFAIC are still good... dont confuse later people's first calls to mean you will now get another one with a delay.

If that makes sense? haha

Yes, i said the same the last time i had a chat with CC. Surely no one can believe a word they say.

Also had test driven a Taycan in Sep. Porsche were brilliant and gave my wife and me the car for 2.5 hours to drive around London and see how it could fit our daily lifestyle. And have been brilliant in their follow ups - for someone who just showed interest vs how Lotus treats me as a depositor for 2 cars. Light and day difference - Lotus is doing their best to not attract me to the brand. 🙄

I haven’t had a chance to speak to any of my Lotus contacts this week.

From everyone’s posts today it looks like Lotus have been running through the production schedules for Q1 and then starting comms to everyone who is now in Feb or Mar build months.

Based on what we’d seen last week, they’d already contacted people in build months of Nov, Dec and Jan.

This all suggests to me they are working through a re-schedule for the next 5-6 months. My hunch is this is now based on latest on parts supply timelines (including Wuhan lockdown impact) and Hethel productivity and how that will ramp up (including second shift).

It’s become too hard for me to keep track of the numbers of people in each batch and how they are shifting with each new delay. So I can’t back-calculate the assumed productivity or numbers of cars to be built per month like I used to be able to do.

Today’s emails seem to have mainly gone to people with post Goodwood deposits (12 July onwards). As that’s after the big Goodwood peak, I’d expect to see people with deposits through July and Aug starting to cluster into only 1-2 build months. Whereas each day (and am/pm) at Goodwood could mean a difference of 1-2 months on build month.

It’s really disappointing to see it being communicated this way, with no explanation. I think it’s an explainable extrapolation of what we’ve already seen about slower start and slower ramp up. Cold comfort for anyone, but some transparency would help. Otherwise these just look like another set of “forecasts” and no one believes they’ll actually meet them. Not even being able to get test drives underway in the week they said a few weeks ago also undermines their credibility on forecasting dates.

Wow, you really do need to get out more 😉

Couldn’t agree more, just wish I’d kept my Cayman now until the T’s ready 😞

Geeze.. No way US customer car production actually starts in January now, huh? I might be moving on then. No way I'm waiting through another spring/summer season for this Emira.

Hello again all (I’ve been taking a forum sabbatical whilst falling in love with my stand in Exige.) Dropping by with news I appear to be getting two, only one ordered.. Be nice if they spelt my name correctly. Hey ho, maybe I’ll get a spare invite to the test drive event.
