... ok im sorry about that, but when were you told your build would be november for the first time? were you originally in June? ie first batch or were you always later than that.
the 1st batch people were originally told June, then July... then perhaps september.. etc
where as some people have been told November time from a few months ago and simply haven't been updated until now, hence as everyone in the 1st batch is 2-3 months delayed, it would be in that case not a surprise that the original Oct/November people are now March, forgive me if I am mistaken?
If I get an email this/next week telling me I'm now March, I will take it all back.... but I dont feel this will be the case.. famous last words

ok, so you were told september originally, when those in the 1st batch were told June build.... so from the start you were 3 months later then the first batch.
This 1st batch is now split over a handful November deliveries.. maybe 20/25... and then another 60 - 100 in December... and the rest in January. Hence all the original June people are now split from November to January... a 6 month delay from original promised date.
You were september, so logically adding 6 months, which we have known about now for a while... you are March.

You are still roughly 3 months behind the original 150 odd depositors.
So, while I'm sympathetic, I am just trying to stop the feeling that Lotus have suddenly delayed manual boxes again by some extra 3 months.... this is not the case. Its just that they are now continuing the last 10 days emails to their customers, but nothing has changed, in reality if you follow the forum and waste a lot of time like me.. haha.. you would have already had a pretty good idea that you were going to be 2023 and March would be a good guess based on your deposit date.
There will also be some more cancellations by the look of it, so you could well get another call bringing you the chance to move forward ...

As you say, some people in the earlier batches were told about their delays last week/week before and some people in later batches are being told about their delays today. But the delays only affect you once (at least in this round) and by a broadly similar amount for everyone (unless you are Auto).

I haven’t had a chance to speak to any of my Lotus contacts this week.

From everyone’s posts today it looks like Lotus have been running through the production schedules for Q1 and then starting comms to everyone who is now in Feb or Mar build months.

Based on what we’d seen last week, they’d already contacted people in build months of Nov, Dec and Jan.

This all suggests to me they are working through a re-schedule for the next 5-6 months. My hunch is this is now based on latest on parts supply timelines (including Wuhan lockdown impact) and Hethel productivity and how that will ramp up (including second shift).

It’s become too hard for me to keep track of the numbers of people in each batch and how they are shifting with each new delay. So I can’t back-calculate the assumed productivity or numbers of cars to be built per month like I used to be able to do.

Today’s emails seem to have mainly gone to people with post Goodwood deposits (12 July onwards). As that’s after the big Goodwood peak, I’d expect to see people with deposits through July and Aug starting to cluster into only 1-2 build months. Whereas each day (and am/pm) at Goodwood could mean a difference of 1-2 months on build month.

It’s really disappointing to see it being communicated this way, with no explanation. I think it’s an explainable extrapolation of what we’ve already seen about slower start and slower ramp up. Cold comfort for anyone, but some transparency would help. Otherwise these just look like another set of “forecasts” and no one believes they’ll actually meet them. Not even being able to get test drives underway in the week they said a few weeks ago also undermines their credibility on forecasting dates.

for reference when i placed my deposit with JCT`600 in Hellholeford i was 'number two' with them..... which is what i feel like now!

So 12 dealers in uk lets say they all had 2 deposits by then plus 'the world' surely I was in top 100 and at least 150 ffs

Seriously i'm not bothered now. Missed the fun I thought I would have being well up at the front at least the salt will be on its way and i'll get my building project completed so its got a place to live. Bitchin aint going to make any difference.

I think i have said this before, but names out of a hat seems to be the current way of determining the build schedule. Well it is certainly not deposit order thats for sure.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Although, with no income at Lotus for nearly a year, they are probably putting our deposits towards paying the wages.

Looks like a system error as I had exactly the same - 2 emails (both with my name spelt Stevve) one stating production in March 23 and the second production in June 23! I have only ordered one so maybe my second deposit is showing on the Lotus CRM system as a second order!

My first deposit was early Sept 21 so if it is June production July/Aug delivery that will be almost 2 years from my first deposit - good job it’s not intended as a daily drive.

Pre-reveal customer at local dealership, received the Geoff Dowding standard email, with lots of “important customer” “valued customer” blurb, but , April 23 production date. Which means I guess May/June delivery. But, the way 2022 has gone can we trust these dates anymore, we have had so many false dawns and untruths. Can we trust these dates yet again or is our trust and money better placed elsewhere?

I've not seen the email yet (the wife paid the deposit so she gets the emails) but suspect we will be the same as you and an April production. In a way it might work out better as we have 3 cars already and a 4th is probably excessive so it gives me longer to decide what to do. Also if the cost of financing is no longer palatable by then we might just take it and run it for 12 months then shift it on or not take it at all and keep the 3 cars we already own outright. I want to experience the Emira and love it though so I keep my fingers crossed it all works out. If I win the euromillions jackpot on Friday I'll buy all my north east Emira buddies their cars for them

It’s a good point that did cross my mind. To even be in a position where we are thinking that is possible shows how badly we have been treated. A lot worse going on in the world granted.

most of the moves/official delays for people today are either autos who deposited before or after good...wood... & the rest are those manuals or autos who deposited after.
Perhaps one or two others are in the mix who through a dealer deposited before...but that error can then be down to the dealer.....
I was a dealer depositor and my money was marked as paid months after I did actually pay it...

Sounds like Lotus are trying to get their comms in better shape with some upfront planning.
Unfortunately someone has accidentally clicked send on emails lined up for releases in late February as well as the one scheduled for this month.

My deposit was 9 July 21 (Goodwood Friday) - original emailed production date was July and last update October.
Received the general email last week and missed a call from CC 2 days ago - I am so disinterested I haven’t bothered to call them back.
I was guessing maybe Jan build but now thinking this could be March or later?
Still love the looks but interested has all but left long ago.

I'm not sure when it happened, but the interest rate on the finance has increased to 7.9%. So this car is getting later and more expensive to own.

Also, well in my case anyway, my original delivery was March2022. Since then the road fund licence has gone up £400 and now the interest rate up by 2%. These delays are costing us money thats for sure.

I asked customer care today and got told that my dates were still January build / Feb delivery.

My deposit was first day of Goodwood. Can’t remember if that was 8 or 9 July.
