I know I have issues around test drive first, but as a Pre-Reveal customer I have been told that I am April build, guess May/June Delivery. Totally unacceptable to be 6 months behind YouTubers and later deposit holders. There you are, long term Lotus owner and with two new Lotuses in the last 9 years. Order compromised because Lotus cannot provide a demo ride. Someone in LCS unilaterally pushed me into 2023 in August. Because of their failings. Do you think I am upset - you bet.

Yes, as a 5th October 2019 deposit holder, I thought that would put me as at least one of the first to get a car. How wrong i was. I even questioned Scott Walker at Silverstone last November with my concerns about Youtubbbers saying they were getting their cars in March when they only put their deposit down well after launch. He said that would never happen and that cars would be built in deposit order. This is clearly not what is happening. Yet another case of miss information from Lotus.

Why didn't you choose dealer delivery? Are you looking for a factory tour also?

Rest assured it's not just Ediburgh it's difficult to get to Hethel from. It's the entire UK unless you're driving because...well, Norfolk
Flight to Stansted, then hire car, seems to be the most logical. Or it's 11 hours and 3 trains. Mad.
Reason I'm going for the factory collection is just the experience tbh, tour, look about, just the excitement I think! Plus half the running in will be done by the time I get it home so might as well.
Deposit was the day of announcement pretty much asap.

so if you are a manual as you say and you paid your deposit to lotus? direct..before launch, there would seem no way you should be march 2023.....
In this case I would be seriously questioning them...
Call and ask to speak to Alex for example....
If you paid through a dealer, that could explain the issue....as not all dealers gave the correct info and in cases Lotus also made errors on their side with dates, but you probably have proof from your bank as to when your deposit left your account and with this I would be making a strong case to them......

I think it’s my reticence to move things forward in August without a test drive, I was concerned after the Harry’s video came out as I have chosen Sport suspension and Cup2’s.
All through this process we have been told we will be able to test before build. Well that has not been the case.
Tom has the same concerns due to us both being Evora owners.
Some would say they are not bothered by a test and maybe that attitude has propelled them further into the build and delivery phase.
But as someone who wants a particular procedure and uncompromising in that, it’s has been detriment in the pecking order.
You couldn't even see the colours before locking in build, yet alone test the mechanics.
You have to accept this of course as an early adopter. But there have been a lot of false promises and things that could have been easily sorted and haven't. That's the rub.
I feel sh*t for everyone that placed a pre-reveal deposit and has yet to receive the checkout email. This shouldn't be happening esp for manual gearbox orders.
I placed my 1st deposit first thing on reveal day and received my checkout email today... yes I'm very pleased but I'm also feeling a little contrite!

I am pleased for you, go for it. Don’t feel like that. it’s a Lotus problem not yours.
