For me, warranty work, maintenance issues, ease of getting these items completed in a timely manor and actual warranty coverage are all issues that may hold me back from actually going ahead with my purchase.Question for any GTA previous Lotus Customers.... does anyone have any independent mechanics that work on Lotus'? Have not been able to source any so far.

A few days ago, we learned from overseas media that Lotus EMIRA will delay delivery due to the shortage of the global supply chain. Among them, the EMIRA V6 first version of the manual transmission model will be delayed by an average of about 4 months, and the automatic transmission model will be delayed by more than 6 months. Due to the delay of the V6 first version, the production of the 2.0T first version model will be delayed, and its delivery time has been delayed to the third quarter of 2023.
According to the official website information, the first version of Lotus EMIRA V6 is scheduled to start overseas deliveries in the third quarter of 2022, but it has now been postponed to the fourth quarter of 2022, and the model will continue to be produced until 2023. Therefore, this also affects the rhythm of the 2.0T first version, which will be adjusted to start production in mid-2023 and will be delivered in the third quarter of 2023. The regular version is expected to be officially launched in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Previously, Lotus announced in July 2022 that the global order volume for the 2.0T debut version had been scheduled until the fourth quarter of 2023, so the reservation channel was temporarily closed, but the V6 first version was not affected by this.
The first version of Lotus EMIRA has been launched in China before. The 2.0T model is priced at 858,000 yuan. It is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 480 Nm, matching an 8-speed dual clutch gearbox. The first version of EMIRA V6 is priced at 1.118 million yuan in China. It is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine with a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. In terms of powertrain, the new car will be matched with a 6-speed manual transmission.
True... But at this point.... These people from lotus have kept quiet. Not even a miserable email to let us know what's up. Like what kind of customer service is this???? They are prioritizing China. Ofcourse because it was bough by geely. What ever man! If I don't like the news or email they send... I'm cancellingWow.. Yup. Agreed. NSX.... Here I comeThere are a lot of other fed up buyers right there with you. There are also a lot of new buyers lined up hoping to get bumped up in the queue. It's a numbers game for Lotus and they don't really seem to care much about customer satisfaction at this point. I'm sure (err.. hope) things will get better a few years down the line, but it's been painful for early adopters like myself and a lot of us here since the beginning.

I dont want to set a false expectation but would it be reasonable in your opinion to estimate somewhere between June & August for U.S. delivery for 1st batch FE V6 Autos? Yea, they say supply chain but what they mean is they got crap electronics from China, but can’t say they got crap electronics from China. Once that’s sorted things will move along. Early adopters will have waited quite a long time, later deposits, like me (Q4 ‘22) will get a car in 2 yrs with a ton of additional options.@TomE I observed this as well. Not backing out. Definitely waiting it out. Deciding on if I should get something else while I wait. If the wait is long enough it may be worth while to get something now.Don't want to pile on -- but honestly it doesn't seem like Lotus is the kind of brand you can get a realistic estimate for time frames. You, like the rest of us, will likely have to make a decision without this information.

I agree with you. If this is the type of customer service without us having a car... I cannot imagine when we finally have it and needs repairsAs soon as I get a confirmed C8 order acceptance I will drop out of the Lotus lottery.
GM is not my favourite auto manufacturer but for the last 2 years my salesman and GM CS have done an excellent job of keeping me informed of their status. I also know 2 guys with C8’s and they have had little to no issues with their cars.
If in a couple of years Lotus is still in business and making AND delivering exciting sports cars I will jump back in.
My deposit $$$ in the Bank of Lotus is gaining me ZERO interest and I have lost interest.
There is complete radio silence from Hethel on updated US production timeframes. It's really odd. Reps from Lotus Cars USA visited a couple of weeks ago, at their instigation to find out more info, but appear not to be in a position to share any new updates with US dealers or customers. US production was supposed to have started in January and there is nothing to confirm or deny that, apart from a couple of observations from factory tours of LHD cars being built, but no confirmation if they were US spec.@TomE I observed this as well. That is one of my fears that when ever my Emira arrived I would then have to deal with a manufacturer that has a mediocre customer service attitude and experience. I’m sure that my Lotus dealer would do all they could but they would be simply caught in the middle. It’s truly become a gamble to purchase an Emira. It’s a sad state of affairs. With UK deliveries in Jan/Feb/Mar delayed by another 2-4 weeks since start of Jan, I assume US deliveries will be delayed a similar amount. But there were rumours in December they might start US production on time and slow UK production to enable that. I'm guessing the issues with early cars may have prompted a pause for fixes to be included. But there's nothing definitive and it is all just rumour and speculation at this point. The only people who appear to know are Lotus HQ and they aren't telling anyone yet.
