USA/Canada Delivery Thread

The cutoff date for the V6 was pushed back, it's no longer 2025. They'll still be able to use the V6 for at least until 2030 I believe, and Toyota has declared they're not discontinuing their ICE production, so we should have engine parts and entire engines available for a long time.

As far as body panels including glass, Lotus already said they were going to continue the Emira on with the i4 after the end of the V6 run, and the i4 model uses the same body panels and glass as the V6. The interior parts are the same too, with the possible exception of the auto shift lever on the center console. It might be the same one the V6 auto is using, but we don't know yet because Lotus hasn't shown us final versions of the i4. They were I believe, planning on continuing the i4 through 2035, and that was the original plan before they knew how the Emira was going to be received.

They're going to make more than a few hundred Emiras, it's going to have a long run, and it's going to be the most successful sports car Lotus has ever made.

Has anyone's dealer actually communicated with them about these ~3 month delays? It seems like Gator was the only one to officially send something out to customers. Or maybe my dealer just gets his news from me and assumes that if they know, then I already do too. :ROFLMAO:

Probably way more truth to that than you care to know!!!!

You are not the only one, I am on the same boat:

Same. My dealer had no idea. They were like and I quote “who told you that information so I can report it to Lotus!” 🤪

Yes, I heard from mine at Bellevue, and this was what he said: "We will have an update next week..."

My salesperson at Bellevue reached out via text with the news, though I'd already read Gator's post by that point so there was little surprise. He doesn't seem to have any more details than the forum does; everyone waiting for communication from Lotus USA.

My Bellevue sales person left, and the GM is now the one who is supposed to be communicating. No text or email in my case. I'm not mad about the delay, I'd be in the "July" delivery group based on the Gator supplied info, but direct comms should really be how the rest of us get our info... not reposts in a forum.

Contact Alan Grana, he's been at Bellevue for years and is a good guy to deal with. Here's his email: <email removed> and I'll email him too to let him know your situation.

Moderator edit: email address removed as this is a public forum and as a general principle we don't publish personal email addresses to reduce instances of spam etc. You are welcome to pass on the email address via private message.

It sure has, but I don't think it's nearly as cost effective for an affordable sports car -- also you're not going to print a new fender.

I sent my Bellevue salesperson the table from Gator right after I saw it. He asked where I got it but offered nothing about new timeline. Would love to know whether July is right. Fine waiting and letting niggles get fixed. News about the earliest possible would be enough at this point. Sorry the email from Bellevue posted here got deleted.

If anyone is interested - the Emira looks to be at the Toronto Auto Show next week. Lotus / Gentry Lane is one of the products listed. I am assuming it is the Emira. Could be Eletre.

I placed my deposit (Base) October 2021. About a year later as a hedge I put a deposit down on a Carrera T (told 1-2 year wait) Which one do you think will land first??

Dear VLX3, my dealer reached out last week via email about the 12 week delay. The lines of communication are open and i have no issues with the dealership.

Keep them both!

My dealer reached out last week but I only saw the email yesterday when I go back from a trip to South Africa.
He apologized out all the delays but this was at the end of the email

“Below is a breakdown of updated timeframes with orders submitted to the plant and since you are on this email your vehicle was one submitted last year for build. We apologize on behalf of Lotus for the additional delay and please let us know if you have any additional questions at all.”
Original Build Date: New Build Date: (Estimated 60 days from Build to the U.S. Port)
January April – May
February May – June
March June – July
April July - August

While I know most of us have not been happy with the delays I personally am not unhappy as hopefully all/most of the initial issues will have been addressed
My dealership has been great to work with.
I cannot wait for my Emira to arrive

On a side note while in Johannesburg I went to the Lotus dealership there.
They seem to be having the same lack of communication issues from lotus as the ROW
They had a Seneca Blue on the showroom floor. Absolutely gorgeous.

So I talk to my salesperson and said that lotus has not officially said anything at all about the Emira. But he does say that according to the rumors, it was going to be another 3 months delay. He said to me that cats that were supposed to be build in January are now going to be build in April with delivery date of June to July.... Lol so. With heavy heart and due to poor communication I have officially moved on. Here I present u.... My new NSX
