Unfortunately, these notifications can not be verified so I still await an official update from Lotus HQ and/or Lotus USA. It’s on you Lotus.
Unfortunately waiting@ Lotus for official announcement is like waiting for a trickle of rain on a drought useless and disappointingUnfortunately, these notifications can not be verified so I still await an official update from Lotus HQ and/or Lotus USA. It’s on you Lotus.
If US region builds are starting in April, then I assume at least an early batch of V6 FEs destined for the US market will be price protected but let’s wait and see…Well, wonder what the official price increase for the UK means for the US?
I’m pretty ready to get off this crazy train.
I expect it to be around $6k on the base cost. I expect them to make each option you add to the car a lot more $ too now to make the 'base' price increase of the car seem less...but they'll get us on options.Well, wonder what the official price increase for the UK means for the US?

As for price rise, assume around 8% based on official increases in the UK and comments from NZ and UAE forum members.
I don't see any justifiable reason for them to increase the price for US buyers.
There are import duties and fees applicable to the import of these vehicles to the US, but it doesn't add up to 20%.$93,900 is about 78,158GBP at today's exchange rate. While that is lower than the new UK price for the Emira, the UK price includes a 20 percent VAT which would not apply for vehicles exported. At the new 82k price, the car without VAT is 65,600 GBP. To add some context, back in October 2021 when pricing for the Emira was revealed in the US, $93,900 was roughly 69,500 GBP, meaning the US dollar strength has already given Lotus a 12.5% buffer. I don't see any justifiable reason for them to increase the price for US buyers. After you factor in the 20% VAT, they are making bank on US buyers as is.

I did a spreadsheet of this at one point back in 2021 before the pricing was finalized for the US market. My stacked price guessing came out within 3 or 4 percent of the final announced price. I'll see if I can find it.
I'm an easy-going agreeable person, to a fault if you ask my wife. I usually look for the silver lining and celebrate the part of the glass that's full rather than lament the part that's empty. I generally assume rational and reasonable motivations from people instead of taking personal offense to a disagreement. Given the evidence, if Lotus does increase the price for US buyers using the excuse of increased costs, then it would be in bad faith in my opinion.LOL, because they can.
If the price goes down in NA, I’ll keep my deposit in place. Come on Lotus, do the right thing! With the shift in the value of the US Dollar versus the Pound, seems like the price should have gone down, not up.![]()
I really think this is not going to impact the US. Too messy to change the prices that have already been provided on our orders in writing. I'd bet a beer on it, but if I do end up wrong that would be a lot of beers!
Yep - 100% sure on the non-FE's. Keeping fingers crossed on the FE's.they will raise the prices.... perhaps not for the 700 V6 f/e's....but for everyone else... 100%.
