USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Any thoughts on Lotus’ announced EV Type 135 as a replacement vehicle for the Emira? Estimated sunrise/sunset production years for both EV and ICE sports cars?

Will need to see specs and photos. Also be interesting to see how the EVs that lotus is making now fare. Will be a good indication.

Lotus intern: hey boss, that US based forum has over 8k posts and nearly a million visits talking about our incompetence, shouldn’t we defend ourselves or provide some information so we don’t keep them guessing?

How strange, it was showing mine as #7981 for quite a long time, and now it's #7982. That's a database thing, the numbering... has nothing to do with page reloads. Something else changed.
Yeah yours was the first for a while, looks like he may not have submitted that post after he clicked reply.

This is like watching people fidgeting and making last minute jokes backstage before the curtain goes up and it's showtime. Do you guys (and gals) realize the CARB certification window of opportunity opens next Monday? We're almost there.......

I have zero faith in the California tree hugging pencil pushers at CARB to do anything "on time". My guess it'll be done the last possible minute and in the interim they'll look for any excuse to kick it back to Lotus.

Not trying to be positive or negative....Just pragmatic:)

Well, they're the ones that gave Lotus the window; Feb. 12 – March 12, so I have a bit more confidence than if this was just a guess from Lotus.

Sometimes new users make posts and require mod approval before they actually show up. There was probably one in my queue that I approved after you posted.

Wow, how did y’all ever approve me?

Edit: Wait I’m approved right?
This IS a serious question - how did kitKat sneak by the admins and get approved? I'm thinking there was some sort of under the table payoff here!

Levity is good for the soul, especially with all the pain and suffering we’ve endured along this journey.

Hello. I'm new to the forum, have been reading several of these posts and learning of the CARB delays, etc with these cars. I very recently placed my deposit for an Emira that's currently sitting on the lot at a dealership in a non-CARB state. They've been very good (so far) about getting me up to speed with the latest regarding the CARB certfication, new approval window dates, etc. via texts and email. I had been communicating with someone in their finance dept. making arrangements for PPF/ceramic. For what it's worth I did receive a brief email update yesterday from the same individual stating they have just received formal 'Lotus Lease and Retail Programs' for the month of February with regard to the Emira which is something that had not happened until now. I replied to this individual stating that is sounds as though Lotus is could be anticipating February deliveries and the response I received was.. "My thoughts exactly". This could mean absolutely nothing but at least it gives some hope for February deliveries.
I love the fact that you were able to scoop up a car that was sitting on the lot. Well sort of🙄. That’s the ultimate troll for a lot of folks who’ve been waiting in the queue. Including me but I’m a ….gasp……automatic deposit holder.

Would they have three demos though? However it's possible that one or more customers have backed out, so now they have multiple cars without a committed owner. In that case, I guess it's their call how they treat those cars. I will say, I generally think it's bad form for dealers to bring cars to cars and coffee events. It's supposed to be individuals showing off what they own. But I guess it must help them sell cars...
Right. Pro: more owners, more cars on the road, more things to learn from those cars/drivers/mechanics…

Con: jealousy, like if I can’t buy it or drive it… but a dealer can? Just sucks.

I’m guessing that it was just luck... assuming that someone cancelled an order and I happened to inquire at the right time.
