USA/Canada Delivery Thread

i see what you mean. very strange. it will be removed again too if you keep changing colors

HOWEVER I haven't been able to select V6 on the next page like my screenshot.

so still big news imo
On my PC no matter what I selected the configuration page defaulted to the i4 with no v6 option available (make sure to clear you browser cache or use incognito mode). Even more interesting is if you go to "SPECS" on the Emira model page, the FE V6 tile has a CONFIGURE button which now points to the i4 build page.

Final observation, I manually replace i4 with v6 in the URL and then I'm finally able to see the v6 configuration page.

Why keep this page alive in any way if the actual intention is to phase this out? My guess is that this is a mistake which will get sorted out, though it would be pretty neat if we all got the last of the v6s.

The paint changing trick has disappeared, so maybe ordering the V6 FE option is kaput. I noted in the Specs section where you can still see the V6 FE, the wording is "limited stock, check for availability", which would indicate no more can be ordered. The Base V6 is shown under specs but can't be configured. My guess is that the changes are being made in preparation for making the Base V6 configurable "soon".

Update:
My steering pump was fixed last Friday. I took delivery on last Saturday. My dealer did an amazing job getting the steering pump and got it installed swiftly. I took the car for two short drives with my wife and a friend. They were all blown away by the dynamics of the car. As Chris Harris said, the car glides through the roads.
I absolutely love the steering. The shifter is unique and I do not have any issues with it. Yes my GT3 shifter is better and it shifts like a bolt action rifle. The shifter on the Emira does provide more metallic feedback IMO. This is exactly what I want for a two-sports car garage, different but equally sublime.
The car is now in my buddy's ppf shop for full ppf application, clearplex windshield film, and window tint.
After 3 years of wait, I am finally a happy man.
More pics to come after ppf.
My car has really heavy parking lot speeds steering. Guessing it's the pump but has anyone had this issue and it WASN'T a pump replacement? Goes to the shop in July. I'm concerned I'll be waiting for parts for awhile. Glad your fix was quick.

"Really heavy parking lot speeds steering" is unfortunately all but guaranteed to be the steering pump issue. There simply should not be that dramatic of a difference in your steering effort based on speed.

On the bright side of things you should be able to keep driving it until they get the part, which is far better than it sitting in the shop for weeks.

Thanks. Kind of. I will drive the car until the shop appointment so that's good. But they likely won't order the part until that appointment. It will sit from then for awhile instead. Too far to make a bunch of trips. One brake disk has the dreaded stuck pad damage as well by the way...

@zoomtt it started just by submitting an email through the contact us link.
I did that and here is what I got back.

"Thank you for joining us on the next chapter of the Lotus story.

Unfortunately, I do not have access to each dealerships wait list so am unable to confirm an expected delivery date, your chosen dealership is in a better position to provide this information."

Kind Regards

I’d say she misunderstood your question. You have a VIN, hence a car, not a waitlist slot. You want build and shipping.

Yeah. I would email back and say that. I have my VIN, where's my car?

Very likely a steering pump issue. Mine with the new pump steers like heaven. I love this car. Once you got this issue resolved, the beautiful steering will be available to you at all speeds.

You should have stuck an airtag to your chassis.

I had been in touch with them since December and made a few contacts there and then met them in person. So they've been fairly helpful.
I wish, but I never saw it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and said he would go look up our cars while we were eating lunch, but then never came back.

I think I need to simplify my message. I may have too much content in my inquiry, and she misunderstood it. I keeping it super simple this time! :)

I got back the other day from picking up my Emira in Indianapolis, then making a 2-day roadtrip back to the DC area. It started off in downtown Indianapolis, where I caught a Fever vs Mystics WNBA game (the fans are really into Caitlin Clark!). I stayed at the Sheraton downtown, and they didn't want their valets driving the car so they just let me park it on the street directly in front of the hotel, and they had 24-hour staffed valet nearby.

I included the night photo as the red interior is visible, and you can see the TracWrap I applied before my drive. It went on easily, and the car gets a proper PPF at my local installer tomorrow.

There's a few ways to get from IN to MD, and I chose a more southern route that took me via Dayton, OH then onwards to WV, instead of the northerly route through PA. It was a glorious day for driving, with not a single drop of rain, and only a few clouds here and there. The miles went by quickly, thanks to the cruise control, and the pleasant scenery of lush cornfields and rolling hills while approaching the eastern part of OH.

I then peeled off to the Ohio River Scenic Byway in the direction of Ironton. The hills increased as I entered the Applachian region. I spent the night in Huntington, WV, at the Doubletree where the valets escorted me to a spot where I could self-park securely.

The next day, it was through the hills of WV and onwards to MD, where I crossed the eastern Continental divide.

This part of western MD is near route 40, the former National Road (before interstates). In MD, there's also a Scenic 40, and that was some excellent driving, where I could really see what the car can do.

No other cars on the road, and twisty country roads made for a great time of zooming through the turns with lots of action on the shifter.

Eventually I rejoined the interstate, and DC-area traffic meant I was no longer alone on sparse interstates, but I did make it safely home.

It's a great car. I owned an Elise until a few months ago when I got word my Emira was on the way. The Emira is more a GT car, with the amenities to match. I got my Elise 16 years ago, and things were different then. I could tolerate the lack of comfort and impracticality. The Emira is like a more grown-up version of the Elise... but I've grown up too, and for me, it's the right car at the right time.

Tell us the Apple CarPlay worked the entire time…..

Well I just got notified from Boardwalk, that my Emira FE 2.0 is to be delivered July 2 😀.
It got past Baltimore 😀
I have to go back and look, but I think I put deposit down a year and half to two years ago 😱
This is my first Lotus. Sold a 2005 NSX before their used market got VERY hot,….kicking myself for selling it to this day. Currently in C7 manual. Corvette. Really looking forward to getting back into a mid engine manual sportscar again ✌️

Live in the same town as Greg’s Garage…..so definitely going to be a plus and will give him some business.

I went with what looks to be a not as popular choice of silver outside, red interior, full black pack, black rims, sport suspension.

Wish me luck in my metamorphosis of forum lurker, to owner 😇

Any automatics yet? I know some members on Lotus Talk and here have factory submissions.
Nope, none so far...

I have not kept up with CARB approvals either... which is needed before the Automatics can be sold - although they can certainly ship the non-CARB State cars here first like they did with the manuals.

Congrats! I sold my '91 and '95 NSX as well, for a small profit, but before the market on these got really hot - so I know the feeling.

I've said this before, but I think you'll find this Emira to be the closest spiritual successor to the original NSX that exists today (and yes, I say this knowing the cayman exists) - I still think nothing can come close to the steering of my manual rack'ed '91 with the later year 17" wheels and good tires on it; even my prior lotus elise (sacrilege to say, I know!) But compared to the '95, the Emira's steering is even better.

Please post pics soon! Are you picking up from Boardwalk in Redwood City, CA? But live out of state?

CARB didn’t have a refresh site like the EPA did they? The EPA won’t have a different entry for the automatic; at least they didn’t for the Evora GT.
