Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

I have been thinking just the same. With the technology these days we should be able to see it in real time. That would mean US LOT not having the 'joy' of calling CC for updates, and the poor pigeons could go of to the old pigeon home for a well earned retirement. Everyone's a winner 🏆

We should be able to logon and see our car in the factory being worked on, never mind where we are in the build sequence!

Of course that assumes the car is actually being built I suppose…

They couldn't afford that sort of technology they are in debt up to their eye balls, by the time they have paid for that glue machine and the wages for hundreds of staff that are sitting around with their thumbs up their arse they are SKINT.

Yup, I've said it before too. Many other manufacturers have incorporated a "pizza tracker" type of feature to streamline updates and customer communications.

If I can be automatically alerted when my $10 food order was accepted, completed, and finally picked up or delivered, I should be getting progress updates for my $100k exotic sportscar order. 🙄

Porsche sends update photos from the factory to individual customers. Dodge has a progress tracker for individual orders on $30k Challenger orders. Amazon texts me when my order is in my neighborhood and let's me know how many stops until my package arrives. It's all automated and based on checkpoints. Get with it Lotus...
Yes, as you say, this system is in place within many companies, and it would work here. The only problem here is that would mean Lotus becoming efficient and with great communication skills. In my view, that will never happen, not in a million years.

At TVR the lady in the office used to open the window and shout to Dave in the yard , Oi , How’s that Blue Griff getting on , Dave would shout to Jim who would shout at Trev , who would tell ‘em , I’m just fitting the headlamps , tell ‘em we will call him back soon 😂😂
Even that would be an improvement on the current system.

Well yes. With all the delays, first February build.................and so on..............then now November build. In the real of thinking, i bet even our chassis have not been built yet at Hurricane Way, then they will need to be transported the 15 miles to Hethel.

I wonder when the first UK Auto will be delivered? Any AUTO been given a revised date yet?

When was your initial deposit i was 7/7/2021 at 10.30 but no call yet... Just interested to see if it is in order of deposits.
Definitely not being built in deposit order. My first deposit was 5th October 2019, Harry's was around launch, yet his car has been built, and i have been told November build December delivery. With all the broken promises, i don't believe that. I will only believe it when i am driving my Emira away from the dealer.

My post #2.875 in this thread, no Auto build for Europe in 2022, as per update sent from Lotus Sales to my dealer last week.

My personal build has been postponed again, now 2023, but no specifics about which month.

Don't know how this applies to UK though.

The last information that I was given direct from Lotus is that the first batch of UK cars will be 50 in number and they would all be manual. Batch two will be a mix of manual and auto. This may have been superceded with recent comms and further slippages, but I would be very surprised if it changed anything regarding any autos being in the first batch.
The following text is from a Lotus e.mail dated 7th October
We do not currently have any automatics in our initial 50 deliveries to take place but do have a mixture of transmissions in subsequent delivery campaiagns. As such I expect the automatic should be available for insurance quotes within a few weeks.
ENDS
It is still not possible to get UK auto insurance quotes, so assume that Type Approval is still outstanding.

for Europe, they must have type approval, and even so my build, and any build for Europe has been sent to 2023, so I am guessing there is more than type approval, any component missing specific for auto transmission maybe

Just emailed cs, as I've not had an email or call, I was 8th July deposit and latest info still October build November delivery.
No reply yet I can only guess now I'm sometime next year, real shit show!!.
Have they got type approval or not if they have now what's the delay into next year?
Harry supposed to be getting his car next week even though he's changed his spec twice?.
I am curious, what changes did Harry make?

Geely has deep pockets I believe.

Yes, it seems that Europe is further ahead with regards to approval. @TomE did say some time ago that there were only a limited number of auto boxes available (at that time) so they may be prioritising the available auto boxes to a specific region or batches of cars?

One change was sports suspension to touring and he covers this in his first drive video when Lotus supplied at very short notice a second car for him to test. Not sure what the other change was, I'm sure someone will be along 'soon' to advise.

If I recall he changed interior as well alcantara to leather

I Like Harrys Garage and all the reviews etc, but must admit i am annoyed as it looks like he will jump the the wait list !!!
Never mind that. What about all the UK customers with post-reveal deposits getting their cars ahead of people with pre-reveal (months/years before reveal) deposits?! :)
