Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Yes, it seems that Europe is further ahead with regards to approval. @TomE did say some time ago that there were only a limited number of auto boxes available (at that time) so they may be prioritising the available auto boxes to a specific region or batches of cars?
More likely, batches of cars, meaning no Auto batch until 2023 for anybody, that's my guess

well, maybe one or two for rich and famous 🤣

It's started!

Never mind that. What about all the UK customers with post-reveal deposits getting their cars ahead of people with pre-reveal (months/years before reveal) deposits?! :)
And same across Europe.

UK and Spain, only two countries with not even demo cars!

And we didn't even go for Spainxit !

EMIRATES added to the list per @Citizen request 😜

Yes, I would like an official answer to why early deposit holders have been bypassed to allow later deposit holders to receive their cars first.

The official answer might be Covid, parts supply, war, Brexit....
In any case, we will NOT get the answer SOON

I've asked multiple times at various levels of escalation and been refused an answer.

Seeing that a large number of pre-reveal folks have been shunted later, I suspect they've either messed up the scheduling or tripped themselves up. Remember they initially recorded our deposit dates as the date of conversion to the central system rather than the original dealer deposit date. Despite assurances that was sorted, that has continued to drive things like timing of comms to us.

The alternative is they tried to build our cars first but got tripped up by type approval or parts shortage issues, so our cars have been shunted down the order. We'll eventually be able to tell from VIN numbers whether the chassis was built early or in line with our now-revised sequence.

Surely this can only be due to Lotus not having the parts to build cars to a certain spec (Homelink perhaps), or possibly some minor reshuffling due to cars being built in colour batches? What other reason would they have for not building UK cars in deposit order (assuming they have the deposit dates correct of course)? Yes, the customer comms have been absolutely, inexcusably crap, but I am sure there will be a lot of people at Lotus working flat out to get over the supply/production issues and get the cars delivered.

Interesting, now that you talk about chassis, can you believe that my dealer has their ViN number for the demo car one month ago, and the car supposedly delivery in Spain mid October is now November build , December delivery.

I wonder if this could be the real reason. The dealer demos had this issue so perhaps build had started way back for the intended delivery dates, then some issue came with type approval and so the original first batch with pre-reveal depositors had to become the second batch. It would explain how almost all super early depositors are a month or so after the very first cars.

I just don't get this tho.
You would call the customer and say we don't have homelink/silver wheels very sorry. You can wait or we can change. Job done another car out the door and no logistical nightmare

But if the parts come in why aren't they allocated to the first batch?
I dont know anything about a production line but don't know what benefits there would be having part built cars laying around

No idea. It confuses me that the dealer demos were part built, then had to be stopped and so the showroom cars are now the demos and the demos the showroom cars because they can build the second ones faster than the first ones. I really don't know why that would be the case, but that's what happened with the demos, so the first customer cars for the UK may well be the same.

Yes Leonard, I did ask CC why they didn't call me if there was a problem, for whatever reason, with my car spec, and say what issues there are and offer me alternatives. They couldn't give me an answer.

My guess is that requires more work

At TVR the lady in the office used to open the window and shout to Dave in the yard , Oi , How’s that Blue Griff getting on , Dave would shout to Jim who would shout at Trev , who would tell ‘em , I’m just fitting the headlamps , tell ‘em we will call him back soon 😂😂
