Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Running-in procedure has been covered here:

Yes, it is only famous or high profile people getting cars at the moment, in sharp contrast to US LOT enthusiasts, early deposit holders, who keep getting put back/delayed to make way for said people.
That's our destiny, but then our cars will be newer and faster ! 🤣

Ahh I forgot, but I think its probably been mentioned somewhere, although I had the doubt.
THERE is NO running in service, something other Lotus's have had in the past....
So the idea of running the engine in and getting the small bits of metal out etc is simply not necessary according to Lotus themselves, confirmed via CS and they confirmed it with who ever they confirmed it with. Yes, run in x00 miles generally less than 4500 (not all the time), but then no oil change and drive it like you have another 15 of them in the garage....
Is this not covered in the Owners Manual? That should be the definitive answer. OM is posted online with the Lotus Configurator site I believe.

I just scheduled my test drive for next Friday at Lotus of Boston. I will be driving my R8 to the test drive so I can do a back to back comparison. Should be interesting test. Excited to see car in person and drive my first Lotus.
Hi after reading Nicolas detailed review -be interested to see what you think Mr Green 😉 which R8 do you have ?

Just had my call , now projected Dec build Jan delivery , with the caution that this is not guaranteed, hopefully I will get a car by Spring 23 , I should at least get a good test drive in the meantime
Yes, it all seems to depend on if a rich or high profile person puts an order in in the meantime. As they will take priority. That is when we get pushed back. I say this as these people have put deposits down way after many on this forum, are now seeing their cars in production.

Wait a minute, I am rich and high profile, and every time I call the dealer I get pushed back one or two months, and now 2023 without date.
Where do I complain?

I am rich and high profile (NOT REALLY)

Thanks both, I guess I just need the call now to start the process. My initial deposit was Thursday of Goodwood 2021 so i would hope it won't be too long. But to be honest if Lotus delayed delivery until March I wouldn't be too worried as I doubt it would get used much during the winter!

Has anybody in the UK had a confirmed delivery date yet?.

Yes, in some ways all the delays are getting somewhat annoying. But as with you, even if I got my car tomorrow, it will be in hibernation in the garage till March/April. For reference, my first deposit was 5th October 2019, so it has been a bit of a wait.
