Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

I got the call like others.
November delivery now delayed to December.
I asked if RRP and Finance pricing would be held, but the couldn't guarantee anything. Not sure actually they knew anything either way.
Also asked about test drives and was told these are imminent, with cars to dealers early November and invites from Lotus going out in next 2 weeks. Asked about priority as was worried I wouldn't be able to try a car before having to check out and was told it should be in priority order as per these upsate phone calls which are done in batches based on deposit date
I think we were told originally that dealer cars were going to be delivered in August. Is imminent the new soon?

I messaged Matt directly and got a 'minor' annoyance sorted out (or at least I think I have, will see when the car arrives I guess. He was very good about it and Scott followed it up A++
That's good to hear but you are in a tiny minority of people who have actually had anything listened to or sorted as a result of raising things.

Oh come on! what the hell was your minor annoyance, you have without doubt been the most annoying person on the whole wide forum....... haha. no minor annoyance there....

Im trying to guess what your annoyance was:
1. no.. i havent got the energy or eagerness to invent a funny list, I was all ready, but there is a mini magnum in the freezer which grabs my attention :)
but yes I agree, people who have good reason to be annoyed with Lotus should use a little nouse and contact them, directly... not hard to figure out how to do this, no more effort than to cancel the order

Well, @emiraspain you will shortly receive a message from Matt, followed by Scott and a team of henchmen at your door.
(sorry, just couldn't resist)

I've just visited my dealer.

They got un update for Europe, not very promising at all.

In the case of Spain, even the one dealer demo car which was supposed to be delivered mid October, is now November build, December delivery.

Out of customer cars, in my case, the last delay I had was October build, November delivery and with this new update it has gone to 2023 build, and no specific month whatsoever. I am really gutted.
Right now I am really like many of you thinking on cancelling my order, not because they delay to 2023, but because they won't even say an estimated build month anymore, so I am right now with even less information than one month ago, and even worse, I don't fell Lotus is telling any truth anymore, which makes me extremely uncomfortable as a customer of potentially 350k+ Euros investment in 1 year (Evora+Emira+Eletre)
I have the shared painful sensation as many of you have posted along this week after Harry´s video and yesterday's communications for UK depositors.

I start to feel maybe I should forget Lotus all along and continue the path of Aston, get a DBX and be done with it. I would even save money.

What is important is as per this update that anybody with Auto around Europe, if all the dealers across Europe got the same update, and if we can trust this update from Lotus, means not a single Auto car will be built until 2023 for Europe deliveries.

i don´t know how this fits for UK Auto that were planned in Oct build like mine, but I fear nobody with Auto will get a 2022 build.

For the manual customer cars for Spain, the first two will be December build, January delivery, The other six are also postponed for 2023.

The only little good news, is that your car @emiraspain is one of the two, so you will have a New Year's present in Spain. Congratulations, I am very happy for you.

So I could come on here and say how sad I am and how I sympathise with you, what terrible treatment... BUT the only thing I see is:

So who cares!!...
No, really. And even if you changed to a normal persons manual? at least then you may get your car sooner... but with their planning department, maybe not.
I am sorry, but I guess you are in the same boat as maybe every other Auto customer around the world, I dont know if China has autos, apart from the track cars...
At least, and it is the very least, you now know. As we both know, maybe cancelling is not so easy..... this remains to be seen. Your V12 vantage is a classic and should keep you happy for a while.
If you want to share my emira in the new year... we can talk....I dont want to be greedy :)

I am not sad at all, I am pissed off with how Lotus treats their customers in terms of clarity and communication.
And I don't even worry at all about my specific car, I just need to figure out whether I want to continue on this road without any trust on what Lotus says about where and when, or just forget about it.
It's a DB9, not a Vantage!
Thanks for your offer, we can definitely talk.

OK, now I stop being @Leonard, and enjoy my lunch.

Just thought it might be important the piece of info for the ones that ordered Auto

I received my emails yesterday along with a number of you, but no call yet so I'm assuming that will be next week. Did anybody clarify the extent of ADAS? If, as previously, the features can be turned off, then it's not an issue for me, but, if they're now a fixed feature, I'm specifically thinking speed limiter and lane assist, then it certainly is. It's probable that LCC don't have a definitive response to that question anyway and I'll need to ask elsewhere.

I didn’t get an email yesterday, I was on a October build with November delivery. I assume now then that I won’t be getting my car this year as it sounds like a few people who were in the same delivery are now December delivery?

DB9...sorry.... I have vantage on the mind...
If the vantage or the spyder had better interiors.. life would be so much harder.

Way too late for lunch, even in Bilbao hah

haha... yes.... they could come and tell me my now almost confirmed cars are going to be taken off me for being too sarcastic, its true..... But at least it would give me a chance to give that remaining small piece of my mind to them.. haha

I think we all need to remember, as has been said several times, this car, the porsche 718, the "renault" alpine, the aston martin vantage.... deceased the 4C(deceased point in case)... the list goes on, these cars do NOT make money in real terms for these huge companies, the "profit" is a drop in the ocean!

These cars are show pieces!

The original Buggattttti Veyyyyrons lost a fortune on each car, if top gear are to be believed, and I do believe them.

The manufacturers are happy to cover their costs to get the name out there and show what they can do, although in Lotus's case, they have not really shown what they can do yet for various reasons, the main one being, not having faith in their audience and selling potential. If they did have that faith, they would have invested more and given the 718 GTS / 4 a real run for its money from the off and with a different engine, not a xx year old toyota one. They did not think they would sell as many as they have..... and they were perhaps correct to be cautious, as long as they now step on up from here.

The money comes from the SUV's for most, those are the cash cows, and future EV's for Lotus, not the sports car one either.

So, I really think, although many comments are tongue in cheek, the whole idea of Lotus delaying UK cars on purpose is simply farcical. To make a couple of thousand dollars more at best on an Australian car, rather than a UK car (remember the price difference is mainly due to taxes and transport, paperwork for homologation for a small market, etc etc) is not enough reason to ruin their own reputation in their home and currently LARGEST market by far, and potentially lose a thousand orders in 12 months, which forgetting about profit margins, would gross them approx 70 MILLION pounds... that covers a LOT of overheads, which they need to do.
I know Lotus have not told the truth about every detail and in my limited business experience, it is generally best to do so as 90% of us are quite forgiving in this case, but 90% are also not forgiving about being kept in the dark or lied to.... brings back memories of my 4 ex wives.... and children...and even the pets... lying so and so's haha.

SO enough conspiracy theories... we dont know exactly why the delays and perhaps never will, but the UK market is huge for Lotus, the Largest by far in the EU and even for the EV, it is the second largest car market after Germany for used cars with 8 million changing hands per year. We are important... or at the very least I am... :)
thats my sat morning crap, now to tidy the house..clean the car....or play snooker... tough call
Forget the cleaning, snooker every time! 👌

Ahh I forgot, but I think its probably been mentioned somewhere, although I had the doubt.
THERE is NO running in service, something other Lotus's have had in the past....
So the idea of running the engine in and getting the small bits of metal out etc is simply not necessary according to Lotus themselves, confirmed via CS and they confirmed it with who ever they confirmed it with. Yes, run in x00 miles generally less than 4500 (not all the time), but then no oil change and drive it like you have another 15 of them in the garage....

Strange, I'm sure Scott told me back at the original Bell & Colvill reveal that there would be a c. 1000 mile oil change.

i believe u, but for a modern car it makes zero sense.....
we shall see, but my gut tells me no.....
nothing would surprise me though and it would be a pain in the neck to do it for me.... unless its done none lotus dealer and even then, its a pain in the shoulder at least

If you like I will pick yours up. Ruin it in. Take for service and then drive it to Barcelona?

Don't jump on the list, @Leonard I´m already dealing with that for him!!!

We might even do it midway between Barcelona and Bilbao, in one weekend we do all the break in and pit stop for oil change included
