Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Just had my call from Lotus, I placed my deposit around midday on the Thursday of Goodwood 8th July 2021. My car is scheduled for January build, February delivery. Alex told me that the so called first batch is 250 cars, my 'batch' is the next 200 and based on my deposit date I should be in the first part of that batch which also contains deposits placed on 9th and 10th.
I'm happy with February delivery, can possibly delay pickup until March but it won 't be the new registration as this is allocated shortly after the checkout email for which mine will be in January. They expect I should get a test drive late December or early January before checkout. Final payment made 48 hours before delivery. Collection at Factory should not delay delivery, might even improve it!
February is normally a dull month, hopefully not this time!!!

Surely you will be getting a test drive before then, you are an early depositor in second batch. If there are roughly 7 weeks before the end of the year, with roughly 10 dealers doing test drives at an average of 4-5 a day, simple maths says 10* 5 * 35 = 1750 test drives. You should be further up the list.

Back on topic - I've just had the call, I'm now Jan build, Feb delivery from Oct build/Nov delivery. The CS lady was still keen to complete the ful script - and was insistent I was still "one for the first 300", watever that means.

I was told the UK will only have 150 cars delivered in 2022 .

yes, which means that the lotus staff at the Eletre launch last night once again had completely the wrong info.....
WHEN will they get some consistency in their info....
Also, why do they say the Eletre is the quickest EV when its not and its not even been produced yet anyway and already its behind others...

ohhhhh well.....
They are meant to be building 150 UK cars for January delivery though so if they manage that, Im sure you will get your car round about when they told you today

I think you’ll find talking to Lotus face to face at an event is likely to be way more reliable than talking to CS over the phone. The guy I spoke to said his CS team are so frustrated that they can’t tell callers the truth until all is confirmed with the factory. Also the Eletre is the fastest SUV around the Nurburgring on the simulator which apparently is very accurate. Tracks like the Nurburgring are the best way to put a car through its paces rather than worrying about a 0 to 60 time.

As for the ring … trusting a simulator and a car that’s 6 months away from release against a taycan cross tourismo…… with many more millions behind it, again my faith may need an exorcism

A lot depends on the weight of the eletre. It will need to be just around 2 tonnes and not 2.5. We shall see. I’m happy they are confident, I wish I was but nothing I have seen so far gives me that much confidence in them yet. When they get an emira round the ring in a time anywhere close to a gt4 I’d be very happy

I'm presuming the reason we're getting only 150 , is because Harry's garage showed us that the big wigs at geely in China , have first dibs and mines delayed as they've ran out of hethal yellow

Yeah I think they will do around 300 cars in the next two months as there is finally proper activity at Hethal, a few May well slip into January but the truth is we will never know most of them will be off the radar.

As for Leonard’s watch I’d never get away with it in London now days with all the hood rats on mopeds trying to steel them lol

As for faith in them have you read my posts ? I’m actually now a quivering broken wreck due to just about getting to my delivery month only to find out my car is potentially months away. It’s November on Tuesday and still no official update.

Definitely the worst car buying experience of my life and it’s far from being over.

Same here. If it’s going to be a Feb delivery then I am contemplating delaying until March for a 23 reg
