When I saw "30 day call" I had hopes of finding a member who had received a delivery date, thanks for the disappointment! :ROFLMAO:  :p

We are all in a state of dreaming/purgatory it seems!

Apparently, July build orders will get an email next week according to CS. September is confirmed as the build date. I assume, like most car factories, August will encompass a Summer shutdown.

That would make sense. At the moment I am assuming that the original build date I have been provided with has slipped by 3 months.

Good news is that it seems all UK registrations will now be the new "72" plate. (September 2022 to March 2023)

With my "current" (not been informed otherwise) July build/August delivery, I was hoping to get a 22 plate so that when I come to sell it in 50 or so years time the 22 plate will certify it was one of the first few hundred on the road!

What about that car that Matt was standing in front of saying it was a customers car or what that just bs

It was missing Lotus wheel caps so technically its build wasn't completed :ROFLMAO:

are you referring to the same email CS said would go out the week after goodwood that then didnt go out due to a " "typo" and then should be going out this week we are in, but now CS have told you? it will be next week, is that the email? OR another one.. ;).
I dont want any more emails telling me they dont know but they will make another poor estimate, lets just leave it until they do know as in they have 100% of the parts to build 50 odd cars :)

Yup, the 'email coming next week' line is wearing a little thin. I suspect the truth is that Lotus are facing a complete shitstorm of supply issues and in spite of their best efforts they simply don't know when they are going to be able to deliver cars to customers. On the plus side it hopefully gives them more time to iron out any quality niggles. A few weeks back it really did feel like they were about to rush into production when they had barely finished developing some aspects of the car, the seats being the most notable example.

Yes, I 95% dont care when, I mean I do, but I will live with when ever the delivery is, Im not complaining at the factory, more at the person in charge of their customer relations. They are simply making it worse for them and for us by doing this estimation rubbish. Its like the original Covid modelling...... lets no go there, let's say there is no new news, apologies and leave it at that, until there is some sold, real, actual news. This isn't rocket science, you can only 100% make a car when you 100% have all the bits and people to do so, so leave us without dates until they are at that stage at least for the first batch people.....
Its still exciting. I wonder at what point it wont be? If it got past Xmas for me, I think I would lose a fair bit of that excitement, but maybe not......
As so many have said, there is little out there thats exciting at the moment.. who is their right minds develops an ICE car when the ICE age is coming to an end.. haha

Well it now looks like the 6 part of the 6 to 8 week delay has been dropped, and CS think a change from June to sept delivery is 8 weeks , and they are only telling you if you ask, did CS watch and listen to Mr Windles video I wonder.

They may never know 😳
Lets give a Prize to the 1st person thst gets that 30 day call 👍👌

The question for me is do I still go with my EM22RRA plate. I might do just #forthememories!

The thing is if they don’t know when just say we don’t know when, I can sort of live with that. They can give us the issues, supply, shipping, type approval and so on.

My issue is this…..
July 10th 2022 an early Saturday Morning.
Deposit day, so when do you think I will get my Emira?

April/May time sir
Then
End of June
Then
July build august delivery
Then
August build September delivery
Then the latest one
October build November delivery

None of the above is an exaggeration and if I’m honest I’m pretty sure in my head I won’t get a car in November either :-(

Lotus really need to learn from this as this car has been one of the cars I’ve been most excited about and it’s turning into a really bad experience.

I have an Eletre on order and I’m definitely interested in the Type 135 but Lotus really need to up their game.

So Lotus hear this…. Delays excepted but not your continuous inaccurate build delivery dates.
